You just have to turn to the road google maps shows even though the construction is going on. There is a small traffic sign that shows that there is a crossing. So even if it looks weird you can drive through the construction to the road which leads to this place.

Nice and quiet ( no traffic noises as mentioned). The highway next to the place is under constraction, but there was small temporaty road to make the turn. Toilet has a hole in the floor (no potty). Possible to go downhill to swim in the river.
hancockhardisty31/05/202331/5/23 Due to construction work on the A2 could not get here by direct route so followed alternative route through Gouda. Road was difficult and I was concerned how it would be if it rained. It then became very narrow with low branches so turned back. I should have turned back earlier. I would not attempt this even in a small van.

myrkur27/07/2022Très beau spot, beaucoup de place et peu de monde. les toilettes sèches sont rudimentaires, juste un trou. Facilement accessible en voiture ou petit van, plus gros n'essayez pas.

1aVanlife, besser geht es nicht: auf diesem Wasserwanderrastplatz gibt es mehrere Feuerstellen, Trockenklo, Müllbox, Bänke und Tische und den Fluss zum Baden dazu. Wie fast überall im Baltikum ist es sehr sauber hier.

Great place overlooking the river. Lots of flat spots to set up with either shade or sun exposure. However, if your GPS is directing you through Gauja, DO NOT go this way. The route is overgrown, bumpy and you’d need to cross a stream of water.

Sehr schöner und ruhiger Platz! Wir waren alleine dort (im Februar). Allerdings sollte man den Weg bis dorthin bei viel Schnee nicht unterschätzen.

From Riga it's pretty easy accessible (Google Maps route). We saw the other road to this spot, that way you indeed need 4x4. Beautiful spot!

Grandiose Aussicht auf den Gauja. Ziemlich ruhig hier. Abfahrt von "Autobahn" auf die unbefestigte Strasse etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Super endroit pour passer la nuit. Belle vue sur la Gauja. Pour les chanceux il y a une place 20m plus loin avec une vue encore plus dégagée.

Super place ! Not far from riga by car, close to the river and the woods. A lot of fire places and benches :)
