Picnic spot with tables, free car park, and beautiful views of an area of outstanding natural beauty. National Trust site with cafe and toilets open during day. On a route for beautiful walks. We stopped to make dinner 6pm Saturday evening and it was busy with people in cars enjoying the sunset view. I imagine it can get full at peak times. May be possible to spend the night although sound of M25 in distance and maybe a few cars coming and going. No height barrier or restrictions listed.

Lovely free spot, outside cafe, the cleanest public toilets I have ever been in and the view is beautiful. I got here at 8am Fri, plenty of spaces but the car park soon filled up. There is noise from the traffic.

Only stopped for a nap after coming of the eurotunnel. Very busy in the morning, left after 3 hours, can be tricky to find the spot, access through the weird set of junctions.

Really enthusiastic welcome from the man in the cafe which is rare when in England. Toilets and water tap. Unfortunately engines revving and music blaring until about 1am, on a Monday!

It’s a very busy place day & night. Stayed overnight as could get water from separate drinking water tap at front of toilets but wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a nice spot for views & walks but over weekend at night anyway it got full of hoons & boy racers - lots of lights, honking & engine burns (we were about to leave at around 12:30 Friday night when they started leaving)

beautiful walks in the area and great views. Perfect as a stop, or to rest for a while. Pretty busy during the day. Didn't stay overnight.

We stopped here before flying from Gatwick and it was ideal for a stop over. It is busy in the evening and the morning but we had a quiet sleep! The view is amazing! There is a cafe selling food and drink and the toilets were clean.

This was our first night sleeping in our van, but there were so many cars of young people playing loud music and drinking, no one bothered us but I felt uneasy, the view is lovely, and if there weren’t loads of people it would have been perfect, quiet after 12:30am, public toilet available from 8, steep hill to car park

Beautiful place but very noisy. Cars in and out all night, revving, beeping and playing music. At 6 am got hit by a big truck.

one of the best places to have good views. spend a quiet night and in the morning a good place to walk, meditate or have breakfast in its bar. I will be back.

Great stop! Lovely views in the morning.

Stunning views. Very surprised to see a 50kw rapid EV charger at this location. Haven't stayed overnight yet.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Magnificent views. Quiet throughout most of the night - cars are leaving late and arriving early but nothing to disturbing. Spent 2 nights here would definitely come back again.

Arrived late on a Saturday night. A few cars and late night revellers but no noise impact. Lovely spot. No height barriers. Cafe and beautiful view

  • 5/5

AMAZING view! Lots of space, no height restrictions or barrier and can’t see any signs prohibiting staying over night.

  • 4/5

Stayed a night and all day. went for a walk in their local route and took about an hour. lovely views. hot food available from the hut. Toilets were good. a few cars in and out overnight. will upload photos if I can.

Spent a Monday night here. Few cars late at night with music but no bother to us. Lovely views. Toilets. Perfect.

Lovely view. rowdy overnight. there were people driving in and hanging around at 4:30am... may well have been drug dealing but that's neither here nor there... main problem was they had the worst taste in music and seemed to think it needed to be really loud. you can deal with it for an overnight and I'd probably use it again as it's conveniently near London but don't expect peace and quiet.

  • 3/5

WARNING drug dealing at night time, we packed up and left in the middle of the night to get away. and this was a weekday! shame as Stunningly beautiful during the day time lovely walks great scenery woodlands and National Trust cafe with toilets fablouse to visit children friendly just leave before dark.

I really lovely place with stunning views, small on site cafe and toilets that close late afternoon / evening. Very limited (but free) parking it was so busy when we went early afternoon and we had to circle round for a space like vultures. I would say there's about 50 spaces roughly.

Were some cars coming in at night but nothing that disturbed my sleep (as long as you have blinds maybe). But when you wake up the views are al worth it. I woke up at 9am and quite a lot of cars were around but the area was still very quiet (I can still literally just hear birds chirping) and the view is something special. Would def come back.

Drug dealing going on here. We have a normal van. When we pulled up a guy from another van thought we are the courier bringing the delivery. We left and he followed us for around 10km! We wanted to call the police.
