Parking for Helman Tor. A local walking his dog advised it to us. Beautiful spot, quite remote and quiet at night. Helman tor is a nice place to watch the sun go down. With a MB Sprinter the access road was narrow but not to hard. Last few meters are gravel road. Parking is not completely level so levelling-blocks may com in handy. No signs about parking or any restrictions.

Road getting to here is extremely narrow and would barely fit a large car, car park sloped about 45degrees, would not recommend staying here

Wonderful magic place with a great view. Made to the parking with a Fiat Ducato campervan. Be prepared to reverse to pullouts. Definitely not with a motorhome. Not a proper leveled places so not a great place overnight.

inaccessible barriers on the road about half a mile before the woods, need a small vehicle 2 meters wide maximum

VERY uneven and heavily rutted (Sept 2020). Pictures are decieving. Great views though.

Hidden gem of a beauty spot. However, the entrance to the car park itself is currently very uneven with danger of grounding. We visited in a VW Touran car and grounded. The entrance to the car park makes it unsuitable for long wheelbase vehicles and the approach road is too narrow in places for A-class and coachbuilts.

March cold night but great spot wild wet and windy but love it Gemini’s to find this rare spot a bit bumpy and uneven and approach road a little narrow in places

We stayed one night early Feb 2020. Our van is a 6m Boxer. Uneven, hard to level. The roads leading to it are very narrow especially the final entry road. We made it through without damage but only just. Exit was even harder. A few sour dog people appeared the next morning and gave the usual face ache. How is it dog owners assume they have inherited the earth?

Quite secluded and nice views. As others have mentioned, the road to this spot is very narrow. I am in a long wheel (not jumbo) transit and at some points only had a couple of inches on the sides. Beware of exiting! I became stuck for a while as a rear wheel ended up off the ground due to how uneven it is. This may only be due to the recent storm washing out the gravel and causing deep ruts.

Spent a night here last week, arrived to watch an amazing sunset, a few dog walkers around in the evening and the morning but very quiet! Quite a narrow entrance road and not very flat but apart from that it was great

We agree with everything that is already in the original description. Can be busy on a Sunday afternoon. Great place we recommend :) road not suitable for bigger than a 2 meters large vehicule
