whats not to love when its free parking (until march) and only 2 minutes walk to the beach! we headed from here and hiked along cleveland way to scarborough and got the train back to filey. few cars driving past throughout the night but nothing that disturbed us

great park up it's actually free atm upto march I think, few cars went past but quite sheltered , there's toilets at bottom of hill which was useful worth the 40p lol

If the lay-by is full with day trippers when you arrive, you can park up at one of the large car parks up at the Brigg and buy a 24 hour ticket for £9, then move down to the lay-by when it’s quieter. The ticket is transferable between all council car parks in Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

Lay-by is reasonably steep with a smaller incline at the bottom towards the beach. Good access to beach and hillside walk. Nearby toilet block is closed and scheduled to be demolished however during daytime hours there is an alternative toilet 2 mins away. Minimal road noise, many bins and safe feeling.

Guess what? I followed my sat navigation and ended up at very narrow Rivine Top! or we'll, a least I'm here now enjoying the fresh sea breeze. Enjoyed a good night's sleep here very quiet once everyone had gne home. spot on position for beach walk, even better Monday as it is free parking until next season, will be back.

On the road side. By the parking meter it is flat. Sheltered from the sun and convenient for the beach. We paid but it said charges do not apply between 5:30 and 9am.

Wow what a fabulous place and free from 30th October till 1st April, bonus! If you can park at the bottom between the disabled and the parking meter it is flat. Stunning beach withing 50mts. Nice bars and great breakfast at the lighthouse cafe. Will definitely visit again especially in the winter.

There are no restrictions and 24 hrs costs £5. As you drive down it looks too steep to camp but the middle section is just about flat - an optical illusion! busy during the day but thins out at 5. a bit noisy in the morning. great location for the town and the Brig. whatever you do, do not go to Ravine Top, it is a narrow residential cul de sac.
