Lest anyone is any doubt the local authority have put us welcome sign. See attached photo. I have stayed overnight here numerous times but have kept away for nearly two years in the Welsh COVID madness. I have also spent a fortune in local businesses with my family. No more we shall not be back many more friendlier places in England.
No overnight camping.
Went last night, clearly states “no over night parking” not sure why others say different, signage looks old, nice place though for parking during the day
Boy racers doing donuts at 8.30 and then the local stoners smoking weed until the wee small hours, it’s not as quiet on Thursday and Friday as some would have you believe!
Stayed last night, great spot, only van in the carpark. Great sunset and walk on the beach in the morning. Carpark does not charge 8pm - 8am, toilets open during the day, lots of bins by the beach.
Stayed for 1 night, toilets close at 6pm but open again at 8am, no charge 20:00-08:00 in car park, gorgeous view of beach, few boy racers but nothing the tv couldn’t drown out.
Quiet car park and no charges from 20:00 - 08:00hrs. 1 other camper in the car park and 2 others outside along the road. Toilet open 8-8pm. Beautiful view of beach.
Stayed here for one night ... such a gorgeous quiet spot right on the beach front .. toilets 8-6 abs cost £4.50 overnight ... gorgeous views and perfect to sit on the beach morning and night .. will definitely stay here again
Great place. Stayed here for 2 lovely quiet nights watching the sunsets. One other van here one night, carpark empty apart from that. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Ignore the review about angry locals, it's obviously made up, probably by someone who wants to keep this idylic place to themselves. Toilets open during daytime.
Stay here if you like being threatened by the locals and being totally dismissed by the police who came down and didn't even want to take their car out of gear to hear about the threats issued you. "i warn you that if you stay here tonight there will be trouble later" when you have had a pint and cant leave and your kids are asleep in the van, you basically won't sleep. Then came the boy racers
We came here in April and it was very quiet. No other campers, just us. Lovely spot with a beach view. We paid £4.5(12h) and stayed overnight without any problems. When asked about the area the local community member said you can pay and stay as long as you want.
Had two quiet nights here. Arrived 9.30pm first night, paid £4.50 for 8am-8pm parking the following morning and stayed a second night. No disturbances. Car park was empty in the evening. Toilets open during car park hours with access to taps inside, clean enough. Beautiful sunrise, sunsets, views and morning beach walks. There is an overflow car park around the corner which some other vanners stayed on I spoke to, but this does have a 2m height barrier. Good spot.
