Stopped here many times great park up lovely views, great pub the Ben Nevis Inn right next to park up very quiet at night being a dead end no passing traffic apart from people visiting the pub.

Great we park up for 7m and less vehicles with the Nevis inn for feed and drink, they don’t accept pets unless in the beer garden. Sheltered from the winds even though you’re high up as the hills block the wind. Can be muddy around the park up verges but a lovely one night park up

Went in January and was basically empty! Nice quiet spot

Excellent quiet spot. The pub is only open Thursday to Sunday this time of year. Just keep following the road down, you will come to it.

Great spot to spend the night! Very quiet. We did not hike the Glen Nevis trail, but if you wish to, it is right next to its start!

Right near fort William. Great spot to park over night. We stayed the night before we climbed Ben Nevis and the night after. Bin at the end of the road. There’s a restaurant right next to the car park to. If you are staying here and looking for facilities there is a leisure centre a few minutes away. £3 for a shower

Hab hier eine Nacht mit einem Kastenwagen gestanden um am nächsten morgen den Ben Nevis zu hochzugehen. Ruhige Nacht gehabt. Morgens früh geht der Trubel los, aber war alles im Rahmen. Die Markierungen zum parken sind schon eng, ein und aussteigen nur über Schiebetüren möglich bei Kastenwagen.

Vanaf deze parkeerplaats kan je goed Ben Nevis beklimmen. Gezellig pub ernaast. Verder is de plek niet heel speciaal, je staat allemaal naast elkaar in parkeervakken. Prima voor 1 nachtje. ‘S ochtends werden we wakker van de auto’s.

A great location right next to the start to the Ben Nevis ascent and a lovely inn. It can get very busy with side by side parking and it's best to leave quite early so that the parking space can be used by the walkers and climbers

Wow, what a wonderful place, spectacular views magnificent walking and a great pub with real ale and superb food. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Get here early or you’ll be disappointed.

Endroit très agréable mais beaucoup de monde et de vans. Belle vue, magnifique levé de soleil le matin ! pas de services sur place en revanche mais une taverne qui propose toilettes si consommations sur place. Le bruit des moutons est relaxant.

Nur am Wochenende überfüllt. wunderbarer Blick in die Berge, quer übers Land kurzer Weg zum Visitorcenter, gerade Plätze. Nachts ruhig

fantastic parkup! why only 2 stars? well the carpark is intended for those climbing Ben Nevis, and it is so nice to be able to stay after returning down (believe me you will need it after climbing to the summit) But sadly too many vans and motorhomes are using it just as a stopover without even setting foot on the mountain. This really is very unfair to those who need it but find it rammed solid.

Parking idéalement situé au départ du Ben Navis et de l’auberge. Pas de problème pour se garer avec un 7.5m. Pas totalement de niveau mais acceptable. J’ai trouvé que c’était plutôt calme bien qu’assez fréquenté.

Spot sympa, surtout quand on souhaite faire le Ben Nevis le lendemain ! Nous sommes arrivés vers 18h et il restait encore une dizaine de place, mais tout a été pris dans l’heure qui a suivi, donc arrivez tôt ! Le pub est sympa et on y mange bien. Nous y avons fait deux nuits, c’est super calme. Beaucoup de monde, mais on est à côté du visitor center et au pied du Ben Nevis, donc logique !

Great for a night, especially if you’re planning a walk up Ben Nevis - you couldn’t start in a better place! Very busy and not much room between vans, but a quiet night and close to the pub (dogs only allowed outside in the beer garden). Beautiful scenery and surroundings.

Il faut arriver tôt car il y a beaucoup de monde et le parking s'est très vite rempli. Sinon spot très sympa au pied du Ben Nevis entouré de pâturages et un pub très agréable et bon. Si vous voulez y manger le soir, pensez à réserver en arrivant.

schöner Parkplatz am Anfang des Ben Nevis Aufstiegs, dadurch allerdings recht stark frequentiert. Pub ist ähnlich gut besucht, aber sehr empfehlenswert.

First night of car park camping and what a great spot. Not many spaces left at 8pm. Quiet though, and 50 yards from the pub.

Great spot to stay after hiking Ben Nevis and leaving early the next day. Lots of other vans/motorhomes when we were there but still ample parking for Inn guests and walkers.

Good spot but I'll echo what others have said, I noticed plenty of rubbish over the wall and a strong smell of urine (toilet emptying). becoming too common, can see this been shut down or rules enforced if it continues. still decent park up at the moment if you can get a spot.

Used to be a great quiet spot but now every space is taken with vans, even parking blocking gateways. This means no room for actual hikers which will get us banned. Plus rubbish bags dumped in the hedge! I give it until the end of the summer until the 'No Overnight Parking' signs go up. Sadly another spot ruined by overcrowding.

Peut être bien en hors saison. Au mois de juillet le parking était plein entre voitures au pub et camping car. Les stationnements sont en épis et les uns sur les autres type surpermarché. Certains ont quand même réussi à prendre deux places en ouvrant leur auvent. Un emplacement pleine nature mais avec 15 voisins. Le rêve…

stayed there last night, nice spot as said at the start of Ben Nevis climb quite night sleep a few cars and walkers passing but no problems beer ok in the pub near by , food looked good but dogs not allowed inside so just had a drink in the beer garden

Fabulous spot at the start of the Ben Nevis trail - parking for 25 overnighters (although on an incline), great pub / bunkhouse serving gourmet grub, sunny beer garden. Nice atmosphere and buzz amongst walkers. Dead end, no road noise - but to-ing and fro-ing of walkers and diners. Wanna climb Ben Nevis? This is the place to start from and/or return to……

Stayed the night before we did the Ben Nevis hike. Was fine, fairly busy with other vans but quiet. Not many completely flat spots .

Großer Parkplatz am Fuß vom Ben Nevis und direkt vor einem Pub. Es sind sehr viele Vans und Wohnmobile vor Ort. Man muss sich für einen Stellplatz zwischen andere Fahrzeuge quetschen. Die Straße ist schmal, man kommt hinter parkenden Wohnmobilen nur schwer vorbei. Es war den ganzen Abend BIS 1 Uhr morgens sehr sehr laut! Wir konnten nicht schlafen und mussten verzweifelt in der Nacht wegfahren…

Amazing spot, different campervan and motorhome were parked there but there is plenty of space. There is a lovely pub that serves very good food and beers just in front of it. Definitely recommend if you are planning to stay in the area

Très bien pour passer une nuit ! On est au pied du Ben Nevis et du départ de la rando. Les places sont plutôt étroites, et le parking est bien rempli. On peut utiliser les toilettes de l’auberge si on consomme :) très belle vue sur la vallée et ses moutons

TOO MANY CAMPER VANS. Even a tent was pitched up. Avoid if possible, unless you really want to hike from there in the morning or you have a reservation for dinner. Try to stay before or after Fort William. We stayed a little down from the parking, and vans kept coming and going till dawn. And this on a Thursday beginning of Mai!

Really quiet and free little spot, off the beaten track. Right next to the Ben Nevis Inn which had great food at reasonable prices. If you have a dog then it’s beer garden only so wrap up. But really worth a visit.

A really lovely stay, bottom of Ben Nevis. We weren’t hiking but a very convenient stay if you are as the footpath starts at this car park! The pub was fantastic and we had a very lovely meal before staying. No facilities but easy enough to travel back down into Fort William with plenty of shops/restaurants/fast food

Free parking! Parked here really quiet, about 6 other vans. Beautiful pub and food was great! Would 100% recommend. Toilets available in pub until late.

Vista espetacular sobre os arredores do Ben Nevis, num parque de estacionamento sem restrições e adequado a autocaravanas. A nossa noite foi bastante tranquila. Há um pub bem perto onde há música ao vivo todas as terças-feiras e comida boa. Uma das melhores noites da nossa semana.

Plenty of park spots. Can easily fit vans, though large motorhomes are a bit tight (but can perfectly park). Easy to access but single lane road, so be careful. Good for overnight stay and close to a pub and Ben Nevis.

Beautiful quiet little spot, no parking restrictions. We arrived around 3.30 lots of spots available, although would imagine would be really busy in the warmer weather. We had a lovely meal in the pub although the drinks were expensive £9 for a pint of larger and half a cider.

Wunderbare Aussicht, sehr gutes Lokal direkt gegenüber. Die Straße zum Parkplatz ist nur einspurig, also vorsichtig fahren. Der Parkplatz selbst ist sehr gerade und sehr gut zum Stehen über Nacht geeignet. Wirklich super!

Great view, comfortable nights sleep with no disturbance and plenty of spaces when we arrived. Popped into the pub for a whiskey (lots of choice!) and to listen to some live music (Tuesdays 8 - 10pm). a great evening, would recommend this spot!

Great spot, very quiet night as road stops 50 yards beyond at the Ben Nevis Inn. What more could you ask for! Well to be honest it would have been perfect if pub had been dog friendly. No facilities but that is to be expected and a good trade for a good nights sleep.

Amazing spot, would highly recommend. It's a rare find in a place like Fort William - quiet and among nature yet always with other campers and you can leave your vehicle there and start the Ben Nevis trail saving you £8 for parking at the visitor centre parking.

Great spot right next to the Ben Nevis walk. During off peak season plenty of spaces available even after 9pm.

Perfect location for walking Ben Nevis. The car park fills up fast so arrive early to avoid disappointment. The Ben Nevis Inn serves amazing food so they’re certainly worth checking out!

Il posto non è spettacolare in sé, ma è perfetto per la salita al ben nevis in mattinata, il parcheggio è affollato ma c’è un discreto ricambio, non desistere se non trovi posto subito! Sarebbe il caso di dormire qui solo con l’intenzione di partire presto per l’escursione e ripartire appena possibile, data l’enorme afflusso di persone.

Perfect if you want to start for the Ben Nevis tour early in the morning, and very good food in the pub. But please use the place only if you want to do the hiking tour, when we’ve been there last night it was pretty full of campers and not all of them came for hiking. So it’s quite understandable that locals are annoyed if they don’t get a parking space in the morning.

We arrived at 18.30. All the places were occupied by "normal" cars. There is also a B&B and a restaurant.

Parking al lado de Ben Nevis Inn y de la salida de la ruta. Ruido de gente hasta que cierra el bar y por la mañana, de gente que va a hacer la ruta. Durante la noche sin ruido. Útil si subes al Ben Nevi.

We went there before dinner to look at the location and came back later. There was more spaces then as this is one of the start of the track to climb Ben Nevis and people . A few other vans there with us. We should have gone and check out the pub restaurant next to this parking. We went there the next day after our walk. It was lovely and we definitely would have had dinner there.

Very unhappy locals who come here to walk and run and can not park because it's full of motorhomes. The pub has its own little car park. Very tight spaces, couldn't open windows. We left and paid to park at motorhome car park by Ben Nevis Visitor centre. Much better and no agro.

Sehr guter Platz mit toller Aussicht. Normalweg zum Ben Nevis startet hier. Recht viel los, insgesamt 13 Camper. Ich finde max. Länge 6.5m, die Zufahrt zum Nevis Inn ist dahinter und es müssen andere Autos noch vorbei kommen.

Nice quiet spot with no disturbances. Other campers there which I can only say is a bonus! Was a tad windy though but maybe we just had rough weather! Bigger motorhomes may struggle to park unless they get there early!

Sehr schräge und enge Parkplätze. Als wir ankamen sehr voll von PKWs und Womos. Für lange Womos nicht zum empfehlen. Max. 6 m. Bei schönem Wetter von Bergwanderen sehr stark verquentiert.

Redelijk wat passage tot laat in de avond. Mooi uitzicht over de bergen. We staan hier niet alleen, wat wij alleen maar een pluspunt vinden.

Had a great night of sleep after the hike to Ben Nevis and a dinner at the Inn. Woke up to the sound of the sheep-neighbours.

Nice spot plenty of space for 15 or so vans. Quiet night little to no cars moving around in the evening. The Ben Nevis inn is just up the road bit pricey but a nice pub. Fairly level.

At the feet of old Ben this is the perfect site to camp in the van. The pub that is 1 min walk from the parking bays served amazing food with plenty of vegan vegetarian options as well as lots of fish and meats and good booze! Dead quiet at night, little lambs in the field behind with a lovely forest ahead - Ben Nevis climbs up behind her. The only negative is the area is on a slight elevation!

great place to start the Ben Nevis Hike. - We had a 8 Meter Camper, with which it was only possible to Park in the beginning of the Parking spot. - So arriving early with a big Camper is recommended

Fab park up. Ideal for climbing Ben Nevis. Really quiet as at the end of a dead end road. Was busy with other vans so I'd arrive early. Pub next door is fab.. Doesn't allow dogs inside though, but you can sit in the beer garden.

Stayed here in early April and absolutely loved it. Fantastic pub 20 meters away from parking. Excellent stop to rest before climbing Nevis. Only around 4 vans or so when I stayed.

Just waking up after spending a nights here. Arrived around 4pm on a Sunday, plenty of space to park (slight incline) and we headed straight to the Ben Nevis Inn for a meal and drinks. Service was superb, as was the food. Customer toilets only, so be sure to buy a locally brewed pint, and if your lucky, grab a seat by the log burning stove. I’m on O2, and still manage two bars of 4G. Great spot!

Quiet, only one other van all night, right at the end of a single track road. Ideal spot if you enjoy hiking as there is a path to Ben Nevis 20 metres away. Also a pub, Ben Nevis Inn, although it was closed when I stayed.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the past, both nights were 40mph gusts of wind. Great spot but absolutely no cover and horrible in the wind as the van gets buffeted and the winds comes in Strong and loud so 5 star on a windless night but no sleep to he had when windy!

Best park up of our trip. Nice and quite and felt very safe with another 3/4 vans parked up alongside.

We arrived late one night in the pitch black unaware of where we’d be. No problems getting a space, very very quiet and we woke up to beautiful views. Overnight no problem.

Fantastic park up for the night next to pub also. no facilities but enough level spaces for five or six vans and then same again if you don’t mind a slight slope or have blocks. No midgies now not sure if they have finally left for the summer or whether it’s just a great spot free of them. Perfect spot if planning on hiking Ben Nevis.

Great restaurant - food was delicious and staff were so helpful with squeezing us in even though they were fully booked. Perfect location to Park overnight in the carpark before climbing Ben Nevis. No facilities other than toilet at visitor centre across the river.

Free parking at the start of the ben nevis walk, dead end road so quiet, only other campers and the pub customers, didn't use the pub but definitely would next time. No views or facilities and a few midges.

Very pretty views at the foot of ben nevis, bins around but no other services (save for the pub/b&b). pulled in late at night and still found a spot but the place was very crowded and a lot of people were coming and going in the morning.

10/10 Ideal camp for Nevis. The path meets with the one from the visitor centre. Also next to Ben Nevis Inn which has a great selection of beers and whisky.

Glad to find this area and enjoyed a couple of drinks in the Inn as well as a walk up the trail. Inn is lovely (book ahead if you want a meal). bbq in the carpark with sheep as our neighbours. braw!

Great spot for hiking with beautiful views. Free, no signs up. Ben Nevis Inn is amazing. Only down side is that you’re totally open to the elements and it was VERY windy when we stayed.

Perfect for hiking in the area. River for swimming too. A bit jammed in side by side but even so you don’t really see anyone. Pub is great.

Lovely and very convenient spot for overnight stays. We stayed 2 nights, before and after climbing Ben Nevis. The path starts right here, so it’s an ideal spot. The pub (Ben Nevis Inn) is great; excellent food, not extortionately priced, very friendly. The visitor centre is only a 5 minute walk away, on the other side of the river, with toilets and taps to fill water bottles. The site itself is quite level for the top few spaces (we were lucky enough to get one) and slightly sloping as you go down towards the pub. Quiet at night. Definitely worth considering if you want a free stopover in Fort William and great for a Ben Nevis climb.

Amazing lovely spot parked up around 6pm managed to get a flat spot with amazing views. restaurant was full but managed to wangle a takeaway was lush. plenty of space and many variations of vehicle campers. no facilities.

Great location for walking up Ben Nevis, and only 50 meters or so from Ben Nevis Inn which is a lovely pub. Nice and quiet, no facilities but can use the pub as long as you have bought food / drinks. Will definitely use this spot again.

PERFECT location for walking up Ben Nevis. Start of the route AND pub only a stones throw away. Recommend getting the haggis from the pub. Flat ground, no passing traffic and nice views.

Great place to stop for Ben Nevis, right next to the start of the walk, can see the nevis range. Nice and quiet, felt safe with other campers. Next to pub. Free.

A very nice and quiet carpark at the foot of Ben Nevis, perfect for getting up early to hike. Saw a few other campers whilst we were there so felt very safe, no one bothered us and staff in the Ben Nevis Inn were ok with us parking there (although the carpark isn't owned by them). Just a car park though, no facilities but good for the night if you're looking to climb Nevis or after a place to rest for the night following a long hike!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Had car park almost to ourselves. Ben Nevis Inn also good but no dogs allowed in the Inn.

Parked up on the road just outside the Ben Inn. This is a quiet spot once the pub revellers have headed home- end of a track so there is no passing traffic. It’s a great spot for starting a hike up old Nev. No facilities, but a good enough spot for the night with level parking spaces.

Parking un peu en pente mais pas dérangeant. Pub/restaurant juste derrière, tres beau et très bon menu. Musique tous les mardis soirs.

Parked here for 2 nights. flat ground, free, completely undisturbed, nice views, great pub 50m down the road, and the perfect place to start the hike up Ben Nevis. Good reception (unlike across the river at the Visitor Centre).
