Absolutely stunning spot. If you are prepared to pay the parking cost this is a very nice park up. The facilities are also great.

Stayed here in februari and it was our first night in Scotland. Absolutely stunning place. Very quiet and enough space for a few campervans (even though we were the only ones there). We walked from there to Loch lomond and back the next day and it was beautiful. Warmed up by the fire at the pier café. Great food, great craft beers. Friendly people. Stayed another night because of the amazing view

We stayed overnight here 27/12/23 after stopping here a couple of years ago. We love this spot- so beautiful and we were the only ones here. Café was open when we arrived and reopened the next morning. The toilets were open all night and they were very clean. We paid £10 at the pay and display. Worth every penny to wake up in such a beautiful and peaceful place!

Almost do not want to review and keep this place a secret!! Just Wow! Stunning view to pitch up and wake up to! Small easily accessible pebble beach for a dip in the loch as I did and that was lush. Staff at the cafe were really friendly. Can’t go wrong with £10/night! However, it is a bit of a drive to get to, and the road is really bumpy as you drive around the loch for about 20mins.

perfect place to stay, so good we stayed 2 nights. tip, try the cullen skillet ( fish soup) it was perfect.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot and so so peaceful. The motorhomes bays face directly over the loch...breathtaking views. £25 per night if you want WiFi and ehu or £10 without. The toilets are left open overnight by the cafe staff so we're lovely. They came over to make sure all was okay. Highly recommended and worth the £10.

  • 4/5

Absolut ruhig wenn die Touristen weg sind. Man kann direkt an der Pier stehen

  • 5/5

This place was brilliant, only one other motorhome. Very quiet all night, cafe opened around 9 shut at 5 but electric and toilets were all set up for when we got there.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot overnight - plenty of marked spaces right on the front - toilets open overnight - does get busy in the morning with bus trips, cyclist and walkers but not until 9.30/10. Really lovely breakfast at the cafe next morning . Road and scenery exceptional.

  • 5/5

Fantastic views down the loch and all around. Luckily we had it all to ourselves. The cafe was open and the food was delicious and the staff so friendly. As other reviewers have said be careful of the many pot holes on the road in. But certainly worth it

  • 5/5

Great spot, so quiet beside Loch, toilets & cafe closed, but we're off grid so no problem. 4 van pitches but here all night by ourselves . be careful on road from Aberfoyle, quiet tight in places. 5*

  • 5/5

Terrific views out along Loch Katrine from the campervan spots. £10.00 to stop without emu, pay in cafe. Code given for toilets to allow access during the night.

  • 5/5

Well worth £10 to spend the night in this beautiful location (£25 if you want EHU). Very peaceful and had a wonderful breakfast in the cafe in the morning. Very welcoming and friendly owner. Narrow at times getting there, but plenty of passing places and worth it!

  • 5/5

For a place for the people, they now charge for it, but only motorhomes are allowed here. There is plenty of scrub land around, but they didn't want to bring the tone down with campers or caravaners. I's a case of yes this area is for the people, just not all the people.Trouble is, it's outwith the camping restrictions down the road, so park up and camp up wherever you like. It's the law!

  • 5/5

Top Spot!

  • 5/5

it is very peasefull in June. a great view over the lake Katrine.

  • 4/5

Quiet location with lovely cafe staff, WiFi, drinking water refill station and toilets. We paid £25 for overnight including EHU. Views are amazing and scenic walks all around. We got our twin-axle motorhome here BUT you need to be confident squeezing past vehicles/reversing into passing places. Many older drivers in tiny cars who think they are massive on the way there and back!

  • 4/5

unfortunately this is no longer free, it has been turned into an official stop off area. choices are ehu pitches @ £25 or non ehu @ £10, toilets are open 24hr and free WiFi in car park. Still an amazing wuiet stop with beautiful views. cafe on site is now back open.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place to stay! Quiet with gorgeous views to wake up to, no bathroom facilities open but there is a town 30 mins away. Definitely recommend!

  • 4/5

Nice and quiet place, but road that goes here is narrow and the place is far away, weak net signal. we wanted to try a trail to lochmond lake, but the morning was rainy.

  • 5/5

Extraordinary place! I stayed one night in my car, there was two motorhomes, very lovely people and surroundings are stunning. Highly recommended. There is not much of service, and cafe seems to be closed now fully, but you can get guest wifi (very slow) from around the cafe for 1 hour. Would definitely come back!

  • 5/5

Amazing place, peaceful. Good spot to do wild swimming and walks. Great view of stars on clear night.

  • 5/5

Tarmac car park overlooking Loch Katrine. There’s a cafe but it was closed when we were there so no facilities. Beautiful quiet spot. Pier for ferry so possible dangers for children.

  • 5/5

Wonder peace and quiet. Not always though, as the tourist boat comes in twice a day, but on the whole nice and quiet. The cafe was disappointingly closed several days, due to lack of staff apparently. Consequently, the toilets don't get opened if the cafe isn't. I stayed for three days there and there was no trouble.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot for accessing Loch Katrine cycle route. The odd coach tour arrives to dispense tourists onto the ferry. Steps into the loch for your early morning dip - water is surprisingly warm!

  • 5/5

Great spot. Unfortunately the cafe has new owners and speaking to locals they are very rarely open. To help I did text the donation to save the steamship. Great views. Good spot for a swim. Nice and quiet. Road coming in is quite bumpy and a single lane with passing areas

  • 5/5

I stayed here for a couple of nights. A little tip, it’s polite to use the restaurant while staying here.

  • 5/5

Stayed here 29/5/21. Arrived at about 9pm and there were still a couple of spaces. Beautiful place to wake up, very quiet and no cost or camping permit required.

  • 5/5

Great quiet place with amazing views as well as clean toilets open late. Really nice cafe with fresh cakes!

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

What a lovely spot to stay the night or 2 in my case. 6m Motorhome parking easy. With current covid restrictions the Cafe is open only 10 until 4 but a lovely breakfast. And a lovely swim from the rocks. Great countryside around. The only reservation... The drive in from Aberfoyle is tortuous and road is narrow but I recommend it all the same.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot we have here it’s a beautiful view absolute free, and quiet in mid March toilets open throughout the day
