Looks a good site but a lot of cars from workers on motorway roadworks but can use the one just a bit further along until work finished.
Une impasse s’arrête juste à côté de l’autoroute, mais est séparée des arbres et du canal. Zone de tournage à la fin. Idéal nuit en voyage. Bruit de l'autoroute pas trop mal. Garage juste en bas de la rue (5 min à pied) pour faire du shopping, ainsi que du carburant en dehors des autoroutes.
A dead end pull in just off the motor way, but separated by trees and the canal. Turning area at end. Ideal overnight break on journey. Motorway noise not too bad. Garage just down road ( 5 min stroll) for basic shopping as well, as non motorway priced fuel.
Eine Sackgasse endet direkt an der Autobahn, ist aber von den Bäumen und dem Kanal getrennt. Drehbereich am Ende. Ideale Übernachtung. Autobahnlärm nicht so schlimm. Garage nur die Straße runter (5 Minuten zu Fuß) zum Einkaufen sowie Tanken abseits der Autobahnen.

offgridstay07/08/2023Arrived at 2am as we still had 3 hours to drive till Edinburgh. There was only 3 other vehicles when we arrived but was filled by 9am. Overall good place to get a few hours in. Can here a few lorry’s in the distance. But nothing major.
Francois636321/06/2023Il n'est pas facile de trouver des parkings gratuits, celui-ci l'est. Ce n'est pas le bourdonnement de l'autoroute qui gêne mais le passage de quelques camions et de voitures d'excités qui perturbent le sommeil.

Arrived at 3AM after a long drive, lay-by was empty other than one small lorry. Easy off the M6 and a lovely garage 2 minutes away that had non-motorway priced fuel, coffee, hot food for breakfast and toilet for use. Only negative is the lay-by is busy in the morning with commuters meeting for car sharing but other than that a very convenient stop. Hot food van was also there.

Easy to access off the motorway some noise but super convenient if you’re just looking for a stopover. Some small bins too.

Shockingly noisy, constant traffic, two lorry’s stopped on the same night, one started before four the other at five, then a car pitched up at six. All of them ran their engines for about ten minutes!!

It's not nice. turned up to see 2 people peeing in the hedge. drove up the road to the other canal side parking and much nicer, just up on left past the garage.

Stopped last night with 3 other vans. Pictures are a little misleading as the first is the stop down the road. It’s the lay-by. Description is as others have said. No motorway noise and main roads is not bad with a few cars after 11. Butty van in lay-by in the morning. Good overnight stop

Good little lay by site, with ample room and a turning circle.The trees by the canal bank are lovely. You cannot hear the M6, but there is quite a lot of traffic on the local road.. about 10 cars per minute in the daytime. Provided you are OK with that, this provides a very handy, free stopover.

Nice little stopover near the motorway. Goa spice did a good Indian takeaway 3 miles away then here for the night. Broke up long journey. Yes there is road noise, but it is tolerable and the canal location makes up for that. The noise is more from the A road than the motorway. Lovely walk / run on the waterway alongside the canal. Can get water at the same time as filling up at the Texaco garage nearby too.

A perfect little place to stop over just off jn 36 M6 .Situated alongside the canal with lovely views the only downside is you are next to the motorway so you will get traffic noise ,I didn't have a problem with that hence a good night's sleep .there is a petrol station 100 yards away with a shop .lovely walk along the canal

Nice little hard standing turn left into place via little gate posts . Don’t go over bridge as you’ve gone to far just left before bridge . Road noise from m6 but ear plugs etc . Breakfast van in lay by before this and a garage over the road . Cool little site indeed
