Nice free spot along a small river for 2 small campervans close to Gray Mare's Tail, waterfall. Be aware that the river makes a lot of noise. Gray Mare's Tail walk is highly recommended, if you can go up to Loch Skeen it is magnificent. Make sure to have decent footware!

Stayed for one night, great spot but quite muddy. I didn’t mind it being uneven, but if that’s something that bothers you, better stay at the car park a minute down the road

I parked here overnight and walked to the amazing waterfall (and crazy loch at the top!) quiet enough road at night and the river was a lovely backdrop, great views

Deep in the valley but with nice views up and down the valley. Road very quiet and completely free to stay here (unlike the loch further up the road). River very clean and calming. Room for a few cars / motorhomes if in the same group.

Farmers are currently shearing their sheep above and there’s some road workers parked up that are fixing the pot holes. Dry branches are still here, maybe left by the farmers? No idea. They didn’t seem very inviting.

Petit spot bien sympa !! Les moutons nous tiennent bien compagnie !! Le bruit de la riviere apaise énormément !! Seul bémol, la foret complètement décimée...

Stayed here for 2 very quiet nights, absolutely loved it. Calm road, especially by night. Beautiful views and on walking distance from Grey Mare's hike. Oh and perfect 4g connection

Theres a pile of sticks on the flat ground where it would be good to park, maybe a warning from locals? The only other place to park was right by the road so if you want to move them all it would be good! I was solo with my dog so just went and paid the £3 at gray mares tail

Very peaceful and undisturbed spot for overnight park up. First visit, stopped over night in June, cleared up litter thrown in fire pit, and some discarded bedding. Returned in October, was a little tidier except for a pile of human waste and lots of discarded tissues behind the rusting cattle shed. Do better people. Please look around and take care of these places.

Brilliant night here for our last night in Scotland, very quiet road & very peaceful next to the river. The water didn’t bother us, we found it quite relaxing. A good size, could fit 2 campers, we had the place to ourselves.

We spent the last leg of our journey here in Scotland, 2 Beautiful nights here on our own. Having climbed up Grey Mares tail waterfall yesterday, a stunning hot day with Spectacular views. The area itself looks a lil tatty with some rubbish including pillows, tissue, beer cans & a few fire pits. Picked up 1 bag of rubbish. Wish vanlifers would respect our countryside & remove their belongings.

Absolutely lovely spot, a real gem, if people can just take their rubbish with them, this includes tissue ??

Amazing spot! Partially hidden from the road. Very quiet at night. No one else was there.

Lovely, quiet spot with a beautiful view. The river is quite loud but we had no issue getting to sleep. No road noise at all throughout the night. Didn’t hear a car pass until the morning. We have a large campervan and had no issues parking here. Plenty of room for 2 large or 3 small vans.

We stayed here last night, it’s a great little spot just off the road enough room for 2 or 3 small camper vans. There was hardly any road noise especially through the night. However, this had quiet abit of rubbish left from previous camper we tried our best to clean this up!

Nice, free and quiet spot. Clearly loved by few people (saw the signs of open fire on the grounds). Little stream was not as noisy at all (mid-august). We used the stream to refresh ourselves after day of hiking. Sadly few bits of human poo on the grounds (why could not they do it 10-20 meters away? :( ). Enough space for 2 cars comfortably. 3 cars a bit too tight. Virtually no midges last night.

Lovely spot, beautiful scenery right next to a small stream, not much traffic noise and none at all after dark. We shared the spot with another van so parked a little further down but there is easily space for 3 vans here!

Small tucked in space just off the road. Lovely spot next to small river and lovely views surrounding. Road wasn’t loud while here 8:30pm til 11am next day. We made dinner and breakfast here with no problems. Local farmer driving round on quad in morning didn’t seem to mind us being there.

Off the road spot with great views next to river, 4g signal with enough space for 2 motor homes or a few smaller campers. Road is a little busy during the day but hoping as night falls will be quiet - will update if it’s not :)
