came from Aberbeeg didn't manage to get there in our 6m 3.5t van, hill getting there was ridiculously steep. dont attempt if you hav a heavy vehicle, or your not confident of your clutch strength lol. honestly a very scary attempted journey. Will try different route and update.

Great views, easy to find a flat spot and very little traffic. Beware of the wild horses who will happily attempt to steal your dinner and use your vehicle as a scratching post!

  • 5/5

Great views lots of walking bit windy but only stopped to make something to eat but great stop over for the night

this is an amazing spot, so peaceful even with the wind! some litter, but if each of us do a small litter pick when we park up it will compensate for the hooligans and keep it beautiful. great signal with EE, great walks, great views.

Viel Platz, schöne Aussicht, 1 weiterer Van stand hier.

Nice and quiet stay. Was only us up there. There are quiets few place to park up. It can get very windy up there.

Good spot, good 4g signal with EE, however lots of rubbish and not a good spot if windy as (obviously!) very exposed

easy to find using coordinates , got here in the dark last night and someone pulled up for an hour blasting out music but it didn't bother us. woke up to stunning views and sheep all around the van. great little spot

Stayed overnight, nice views and good sunset. Drive up was steep and narrow but exciting

  • 4/5

Beautiful views all around. LOTS of litter. fairly quiet, just a few cars driving by from 7am onwards.

  • 4/5

Some lovely views but blighted by an awful amount of rubbish. A quiet night's sleep with just the occasional sheep rubbing themselves against the van. The drive up from Aberbeeg is not for the faint hearted as it is steep and narrow with some hairpin turns. I managed to get up in a LWB Sprinter but wouldn't recommend anything larger trying it. (Mental note check route before driving) 4G with 3

This is the British mountain in torfean and is my daily drive to work ❤️

  • 4/5

Amazing view, there's lots of places to pull over and stop. Very steep windy road from Abertillery, not sure how the roads are from the other way.

Beautiful. one side of the mountain can be difficult to get up (Aberbeeg) but the other side is fine (Abershyarn). The easiest side to come up is the old mine side. A few dirt bikers making noise but otherwise peaceful. There can be quite a bit of rubbish about which I collect when I have bags with me but a bit further down there are bins so please don't dump your rubbish !

Great views and pretty remote. road can be busy during day with sightseers. poor road surface check your crockery. poor 4g signal on giffgaff
