very good - toilets aren't the cleanest but peaceful campsite

  • 5/5

Great place. Nice and level and grass cut. Honesty box with envelopes at the gate and owners number to call or text. Pick your own spot anywhere in the field. Portoloo toilets if you require.

  • 5/5

If Carlesberg did stop overs this would be it, approximately 2hrs to Weymouth and 2hrs to Derbyshire. Imagine the grounds of a country estate basically a field surrounded by old English woodland and a perfectly flat grassed area no showers but at £12 it's perfectly priced park up.

  • 5/5

Ottimo!

Great site, with flat pitches, lovely setting and quiet. Friendly owner will meet u at entrance and then you can just choose your place to camp. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting the area.

  • 5/5

Fantastic quiet site, nice flat field with ehu available. Picnic benches and fire pits/bbq available for guests to use. Three outside toilets and washing up facility (although there is no hot water). Rob, the owner, very friendly and accommodating - no rush to be off by a certain time. Will definitely return

Friendly reception. Site was spacious and well kept so good start. Good walks in the woods nearby. But, our stay was TOTALLY ruined by the loudest music I have ever heard at a campsite which started at 1.00am and lasted for at least an hour. Then a car was driving suspiciously round the site for another hour. Felt very unsafe so moved our stuff inside and left as soon as possible in the morning.

Arrêt étape pour la nuit pour 12 livres. Il s'agit juste d'un terrain d'herbe privée qui vous permet une nuit au calme. Pas de sanitaires, uniquement 2 WC pas top. Nous avons bien dormi.

  • 5/5

Really nice owner who was extremely accommodating. Great setup, flat and well kept. Fire pits and picnic benches set out randomly for all to use. I enquired as to a checkout time and his response was, “when you’re good and ready” £12 for a comfy, safe and secure site is a bargain 5/5

V friendly owner, neat well kept site, open all year round.

  • 3/5

Schöner Campingplatz. Toiletten sind leider nicht sauber, aber Putzmittel ist vorhanden.

  • 4/5

    great, simple, good value site.

  • 4/5

Nice site, lovely woodland walks. Only £15 with EHU. Basic facilities - no showers.

  • 5/5

Absolutely wonderful site. So pleased we found this one, a total gem. Very tranquil. Dog walks from the site with beautiful views over the Golden Valley. Will definitely return. Owner was very friendly on arrival, £10 for a well kept site in a stunning location, you can’t go wrong.

  • 5/5

Wer found this lovely spot in our way back to Dover. It's perfect with kids and a dog. It's a huge field with plenty fire places around and a great wood where you can walk. We paid just 10 pound a night for 4 persons and the dog. Beyond the site is a wood where you can so long walks and where the kids can play.

  • 4/5

A very pretty, spacious and flat site. Very basic facilities but fits the purpose. Friendly owner and very accommodating. Will definitely use this as a night stop over again.

  • 4/5

Exellent place to walk in the woods and stay the night. HUE is £ 5,= now. Little shop in Miserden ca. 7 m. for bread and shoppings. If your grey water is full, you can let it run in the grass, says owner.

  • 4/5

A cheerful, funny guy will meet you at the window on the left as you come in - give him a tenner cash and the campsite will reward you with space, peace and an excellent nights sleep! Large public woodland at the back where I walked for a good hour with the dog - was delightful. Basic facilities and no showers but well though out site so you can set up privacy for a Hozelock shower!

hi I'm looking to stay hear for a night but won't get there until around 11.30pm...any help?? is that ok??

  • 5/5

Spacious grassy site with a couple hard standing pitches, super basic facilities. Water tap on site. Owner is awesome. Still £10 if you don't want hook up. Pretty empty beginning of April.

  • 5/5

Fabulous spacious camp site . Basic amenities but the space and tranquility make up for it … we could chose where to park . Couple of hard standing areas but we had no issue with our 6.3m motorhome on the grass . In summer will be even more lovely with apple trees out. Dotted around the site are picnic tables and campfire areas , lovely . Great Pub 1.5 m walk . Road noise didn’t bother us .

  • 5/5

Lovely little site ran by an elderly gent who is very pleasant. Nice and flat with apple trees dotted around. Clean and tidy.

  • 5/5

My perfect idea of a campsite! A big open field with no strict parking measures, basic amenities but still everything you need and very reasonably priced! Would certainly come here again! :)

  • 4/5

Lovely, large field. Very quiet. Basic toilet facilities. 2 adults, 2 kids and a van no electric hookup £10. Short walk to pub with good food. We walked there via the road which was very busy and cars going fast. We walked back via a public footpath through a field and along tracks that brought us out at the back of campsite. A lot safer.

  • 4/5

Nice location and not over crowded, there are some rather basic toilets and washing up facilities. no showers. £10 pn without electric. area is clean and campers well spaced out

  • 4/5

I like it. The huge field gives you plenty of space to park up. No showers and toilet facilities are a bit basic. Friendly owner. We have our own motorhome shower and toilet so this suits us very well. A little road noise if you park next to it but there is loads of space on the far side of the field for more peace and quiet. Great value at £10 for a pitch, £14 if you want hook up.

  • 5/5

Lovely basic campsite. Huge grassy field on the edge of a woodland. Welcomed by old man who left us to choose our pitch. Basic facilities but clean and tidy. Very quiet and relaxed. Pay on way out. £10 per night.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop the only slight down side would be a little noise from the road apart from that very accommodating great place will be coming back .

  • 5/5

Great campsite good price electric and non electric pitches, loos. dogs welcome.

  • 5/5

Still a great site for a stopover - we turned up at 8pm on a Bank Holiday weekend Saturday and got one of the last two hookups. Currently £14 for the night with electric. The wood was full of bluebells and stunning for a morning walk. Facilities were clean enough (and lit!) and there's Elsan disposal and a water tap we could park close enough to directly fill our tank.

  • 5/5

Owner greets you from his window on the left as you drive in. £8 if you don't want electric Some partial hard stands on the left along a track Level. well drained but didn't want to risk getting stuck, dark when we arrived so just happy to park up Very quiet, an occasional vehicle through the night. Great stop off for our journey, would be a great longer stop off to explore the area

  • 4/5

Large area to camp, seen betters dats, toilets are mains plumbed but in potacabins with no lights. So you will need a torch day and night. £12 pn inc electric so can’t complain. Close to 417 bike park

  • 4/5

Lots of space, nice owners, well-kept and cheap, A nice break for wild campers from being stared at.

  • 4/5

Grande parcelle agricole transformée en camping à la ferme. Charmant avec le bruit des moutons. Bruit de la route aux heures de pointe. Attention les £ écossaisses ne sont pas acceptées ici.

  • 5/5

Thinking of camping here friday/saturday. Cant get there till 11pm so was wondering if anyone had any details on who we could contact to make sure we can get in on the friday night. Cheers

  • 5/5

Stayed the night here on my way to Dartmoor. Nice flat field with plenty of space. No doubt you can just turn up here at any time without booking and get a space. £10 a night with electric and basic facilities. Great forest walks right next to the field.

  • 5/5

We stopped off on our way to Cornwall. Lovely, little man greeted us at the entrance to his farm. Hooked up to electricity in our motorhome for £10 for the night. Had toilets and washing facilities and a lovely forest to walk through at the side. Worth the stop off.

  • 5/5

Looks a lovely place and would like to say here anyone have a contact number

  • 5/5

Lovely place, the farm is called Bucks Head Farm, very relaxed and great value

  • 5/5

Great place for stopover cheap and no frills. friendly owner. quiet nights sleep.

  • 5/5

Nice spot. Flat all grass, nice man who runs it only £6 per night not included ehu.

  • 4/5

Great location for a stopover or longer. Well kept site with limited facilities. Very quiet with a brilliant owner. £6 pitch and £4 electric.

  • 4/5

Great stop for the night...inexpensive. Be sure to talk to the owner before settling down. 10 pounds with electricity. No grey water disposal.

  • 4/5

Really enjoyed the one night had at this random find. I couldn't find it advertised elsewhere, so I added it here. Very cheap electricity pitches. Clean running water. Nothing fancy (but very pleasant)
