Lovely location, we arrived here just as the ranger was collecting from the honesty box. We gave him a fiver and he was so friendly and started chatting with us. He was very accommodating and suggested a chippy down the road which we went and got a takeaway before settling down for the night. It was a quiet area, a few dog walkers arriving early morning. Some nice walks just off the car park.

Great stop over. We were one of only two vans. Looks like another parking area being developed adjacent to the first two. Some traffic noise from the main road and the train line but it was pretty faint. Honesty box suggesting £5 for campervans. Nice walks and great food nearby in Tyndrum. Several cars arrived early next morning to climb the Munro’s nearby but it was a Saturday so was expected.

This place is a real gem! Near the main road but traffic noise is pretty minimal because of the surrounding trees. Local woodland, river and walks are lovely - can walk to the Artisan Cafe and the Real Food Cafe. Great for dogs. Mobile reception is patchy at best, at least for us on ID.
Toller Platz, etwas abseits und sehr ruhig. Sehr gute Ausgangslage für Wandertouren. Am Wochenende schnell voll mit Wochenendausflüglern. Bei einer Übernachtung sollte man auf Midges vorbereitet sein. Diese Mücken sind dort stark konzentriert und aktiv.
Guter Platz für eine Nacht. Parkplatz auf zwei Ebenen. Einigermaßen eben. Ruhige Nacht gehabt trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße.
Parked up here on the way back from Skye. Nice and quiet, 3 other vans. Bit of coming and going late night but all in all good little stop off. EE 4G worked fine was able to settle down for the evening streaming some tv shows.

Toller Übernachtungsplatz. Sehr freundlicher parkplatzwächter. Wir waren von Freitag auf Samstag da. Abends waren relativ viele Camper da, am nächsten Morgen war alles voller wanderausflügler. Am besten man macht relativ früh wieder Platz und fährt weiter. aber die Nacht war wunderbar ruhig
A really great spot ; off the main road with plenty space for a few cars/ vans. Tucked away in a lovely walking location. We didn’t get awoke by the gold prospectors but we did see a few cars arrive. Great walks down by the river. Perfect for the dogs. There was a volunteer marshal person who came by to check we were okay - very nice people & extra peace of mind someone does come round. Please make sure you donate as the upkeep of the area was great. Definitely recommend & we will come back here best in the area !
parking assez et pas trop bruyant par rapport à la proximité de la route. Par contre, sert d’aire de co voiturage et le balais commence dès 5h du matin avec parfois la musique à fond ou encore coince volontaire le camping car volontairement. Honnêtement, on ne recommande pas!
good place to stay the night, works with voluntary donation box. however, if you are requesting donations it should not be too much to organise a portaloo or alike.
Der Platz hat ok. Nicht schon, aber erfüllt den Zweck für eine Nacht. Die angegeben 30 Plätze halte ich für übertrieben. Entspannt können hier vielleicht 8 Wohnmobile und Camper ans stehen.
Très bien pour passer une nuit, chemin de randonnée qui passe a côté. Petit balade pour aller a la rivière en contrebas. accessible en poids lourds. ************* PS ************* ramasser vos ordures et le papier toilette c'est pas dans la forêt, ca va a la poubelle
Convenient spot - not too noisy despite being so close to the road. Real Food Cafe does fantastic food a mile up the road in Tyndrum or you can walk along the West Highland Way. Public Loos in Tyndrum too. Gold prospectors turned up at 5.15am as mentioned.
Very convenient community woodland project car park. Some road noise but quiet overnight, with the exception of the arrival of cars at 5.30 a.m. Assume these were the mining folk mentioned in other posts?! Please put something in the voluntary donation box. A worthy project.
Highly recommend, quiet with a nice river a minutes walk away and benches. Couple of deer spotted also. Donation box. Stayed a couple nights, few other campers there.
stayed here last night 4/4/22 brilliant carpark there is 2 levels lower and upper car park only 1 vehicle stayed in the upper I was parked in the lower hardly heard any traffic go by and some other vehicles came in around 7am so no problems at all will definitely use again only downside no toilets but could go back to crainlarich for public toilets about 10 mins drive hope this is helpful
Lovely spot in the forest, near to road but didn’t notice any car noise at all. Sheltered from the wind. Easy access from main road, mostly quite flat. Lovely walking by river and half hour walk from Tyndrum, with a great cafe (The Real Food Cafe). Excellent overnight spot.
Road noise itself not really an issue, and pretty sheltered on a very blustery night. People (miners!?) turning up from very early on, so a bit of disturbance.
An sich ein schöner Parkplatz. Man hört die Straße, aber nachts war es recht ruhig. Allerdings war in dieser Nacht viel An- und Abfahrt auf dem Parkplatz, von spät abends bis morgens früh, sodass die Nacht recht unruhig war. Es wird um £5 (Campervan) Spende gebeten.
Great spot, really quiet and right next to the river. Theres a small picnic spot too. There were a few of us staying the night. Got a bit busy in the daytime.
My first time using the park4night app recommendation and I'm very pleased. Parked in the top bit which is more hidden away and level if you park on the side nearest the river. Felt nice and safe surrounded by birch trees! Obviously popular with dog walkers but was left alone by 19.30 with one other camper in the lower area. Road noise not really noticeable.
Lovely little place. Very popular the night we spent there. Really quiet night, road noise was not intrusive. Next morning, being Sunday, many walkers assembled, but no problems. Very few, if any, of the van crowd visited the donations box. We may lose this place if we can't respect it.
Good spot for walkers and cyclists. None of the pitches are perfectly flat though. It not a bother really. Not great mobile signal though which some may like but meant my usual ritual of kicking back to watch Netflix at night didn’t work well
Great spot! A great little enclosed area, quite busy with cars early in the morning and one of the only places in the area with no view but it’s good for privacy.
Large parking area. With great walk to river to exercise dogs. On down side parking is being used by the mine developers so busy with there cars untill around 2000 and then they started turning up again at 0530 next day.
Great views, very quiet, very serene. No bins or toilets- perfect for self contained. Take your rubbish and don’t leave paper or poop ;)
Great stop on the way up to fort William, stayed over night and it was super peaceful with great night sky's. just of the main road and didn't notice any noise lots of spaces and only one other camper there. mostly level no facility's so do keep the place clean and take your rubbish home.

Bien pour une nuit, balade en contrebas sympa. Pas mal de trafic vers 6/7 heures du matin lorsque les locaux déposent ou récupèrent leur voiture pour aller travailler. Attention pas forcément de place pour gros camping-car !
