Nice spot up a tarmac track from the glenturret distillery. there’s a good car park below the dam. The car park was full but cleared out by dusk. There are some nice walks from here. Either along and back along the loch. Up and over the east side of the loch over some hills and back along the loch or up to Ben Chonzie. The views are quite dramatic. We saw a red kite soaring overhead.

Great wee spot. Some 4G on Vodafone, full 4G if you walk 2 mins up to the dam. Only 3 cars in the morning around 10am - all dog walkers and hikers. No one about about at all at night. Watch out for sheep on the way up. Car park is flat and about 30 spaces

  • 5/5

muy bien, tráfico 0, y mucho espacio para no tener cerca otras personas.

  • 2/5

très fréquenté. pas très beau. pas de réseau

  • 4/5

Peaceful spot, stayed one night shared with 3 other campers, like minded people respecting of others space and quiet. The road up needs some tlc but apart from that beautiful scenery and only a few minutes walk up to the reservoir from the car park. Fab.

  • 5/5

A quiet place surrounded by sheep and birds. Approx. 5 other campers were there for a night.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night. Arrived about 8 ish only one other camper in the car park. Lovely little spot.

  • 5/5

Very quiet spot, far from the main road., pleasant view. You have to get through a few sheeps’ gate. You will most likely encounter sheeps’ herds

  • 5/5

Wonderful views & about as quiet a spot as you could ask for. There are some planned roadworks starting 19/09/22 which will involve the road being closed all that week, and in preparation there is the most annoying motion sensing security alarm by some of the plant equipment which goes off constantly during the day. Fortunately it does stop at night once it can’t detect anyone to annoy!

    Super emplacement, calme.

Lovely spot but gets busy (around 5 campers when we went). Large carpark at end of quite long country farm road (2 miles). Looked like there would be great hikes - lovely views across dam. No toilets though.

  • 5/5

Amazing! Well worth the visit, fantastic views of dam and mountains. Perfect spot for day, walks and picnics. Quite a difficult and steep road up but worth the trip. Stayed here for a wee tea break stop.

Nice and remote, with clear sky the stars were amazing. We were the only ones there although a boy racer turned up around 1am with music blaring but left after 5 minutes so wasn't disturbed much. Nice walk up the hills the next day. If you have a dog lots of sheep and ground nesting birds on walk. Limited phone reception available.

Brilliant spot. Woke up to it being covered with snow

  • 5/5

Beautiful and quiet , good spot to start the long walk along the loch up to the summit . Only drawback / letdown was some guy who looked official stopping his 4x4 as we made our way back down in our large motorhome and as we passed jumped out with his phone snapping away or filming I don’t know . We took all our rubbish with us left no trace so I have no idea why he did this ..I should of asked

  • 5/5

Absolutely beautiful! Great location, good walks. Does get busy in the morning with runners and dog walkers

  • 5/5

Large level area. Can get busy during the day but very quiet at night. No phone signal.

  • 5/5

Nice and remote. Weather was terrible when we were here and we were the only ones here. A longish drive up a single road past the Glen Turret distillery. Had a peaceful night and we left no trace. Pity the same can't be said for other, we did a litter pick when we were here, disposable bbqs, food packaging etc. Why people have to be so disrespectful I will never know. Take your litter home please

Excellent location at the loch. Quiet but very windy Thursday night. Beautiful views to wake to. Recommended

  • 4/5

Lovely, lovely spot. Likely that you will be sharing the large car park with other campers but plenty space. Park in far corner to avoid cattle grid noise from early morning walkers. You can swim in the reservoir with care.

  • 4/5

Plenty of space. Busy with walkers during the day. No facilities but only sound is water nearby. Very flat and perfectly level

  • 4/5

Great if you like a busy place to wake up to with the noise of the cattle grid you certainly won’t sleep in stunning area just to busy for us

  • 4/5

Nice place. was very busy the nite we stayed with a few having parties to the early morning.

  • 4/5

Would have been a perfect, quiet, remote spot but it was ruined by two families in motorhomes that turned up at 8pm and proceeded to have a BBQ with loud music until midnight. We had to move on. There were also some teenagers around blasting music and generally being disrespectful. It got quite busy during the day. Great location but the people let it down!

  • 4/5

Lovely view of the dam and walk around it. We were the 4th van when we arrived about 8pm. Maybe 3 cars from folk off camping in the hills. No bins but everyone picking up their rubbish. Calm shattered by two vans which arrived later parked in the access area to the dam (despite the carpark having space) and set up an external generator for over an hour. Echoed round the whole glen

Nice remote spot at the end of a potholed single track road. The road was fine in my campervan, just slow going. It’s not a terrible road. You get the feeling it’s a road you’re not allowed on, but it’s fine, you realise than when you get to carpark. I had to open/close a gate to get through. Car park had 8 campers/cars, but plenty of room for more. It’s remote and very quiet. Some really nice walks around the reservoir.

  • 5/5

Lovely location. Level car park for overnight stops. No facilities but a wonderful view. Last two miles are on a narrow road and the last mile is potholed - easily passable at slow speeds.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, very quiet (just sound of rushing water). The car park is 200 yards behind the dam, no view of the water from there. Lots of spaces. Scottish Water private property but visitors allowed. Beware of the drive there, single track road for several miles, 10mph, sign says 'not suitable for caravans and coaches', lots of potholes. We were in a Ford Transit van and it was okay, just slow.
