Wij hebben hier zonder problemen verbleven, er staat geen bord met restricties. We waren met twee andere campers. Prachtig uitzicht en heel stil.

Can't fault the view or feeling when you're parked up. However we did get moved on by National Trust, the fire department and the police (!) They were patrolling the area to stop people wild camping due to surge in fires. So if you you do stay just be aware that you might get moved on. They were polite about it though

This has to be one of our favourite places to stay in the lakes there is not phone signal which means you can take a break from the world and appreciate your surroundings so quite and a nice stream running past sun rise here is amazing

Amazing spot! So quite no signal great place to park if you want to walk up Dale Head from the slate mine. Pictures on here don't show how lovely this spot is!

Great spot. previous reviews are accurate. we shared with two other vans. in the morning drove to Rosthwaite and did a great four hour circular walk.

Beautiful and peaceful. My favourite spot in the Lake District. Its very secluded, but there is a little cafe 10min up a hill where the mining shaft is, plus a tour of the shaft if you fancy it. I’d definitely come here again. Took a few bits of litter home with us from previous campers - this place is too beautiful to be spoilt. There’s a few small areas to park on route but look for the space that easily accommodates 4/5 campers. Way nicer than the pictures.

Great place, please clean up for 5 mins when you arrive! A lot of cars (and vans) leave lots of tiny bits of litter and we don’t need the bad press. DONT LIGHT FIRES! The police, fire and Lake council all pulled up and we’re fine to stay but we’re checking for open fires

Far prettier than pictures suggest and worth sacrificing your phone signal. Spaces on gravel next to stream in a valley. Two other campers both nights we stopped. Does get very windy despite being in a bit of a valley and more cars than you would expect for the location going pass until well after dark. One of our favourite overnight locations during our trip.

We stayed here on 8/8/2020 and it was our favorite spot on our 2 week trip, we had gorgeous weather and sitting by the stream in the sunshine was perfect! We stayed with 2 other vans, and unfortunately and big party of about 20 something people having a barbecue picnic and kids running around the place - but that’s probably not a regular thing, and except for that this spot was perfect - they left around 11. Nice level parking lot and the stream is great for a albeit very cold camping bath - crystal clear! No cell service and the sun doesn’t come over the mountains till after 8, so we had a nice sleep in.

A beautiful Campsite which we had all to ourselves. Great if you're going for the via ferrata at the slate mine the next day.

Amazing spot with a view, just by the road but no cars at all (May 2020). Enough room for more cars. No service on our phones.
