Be warned...I pulled in here. Parked up and went over to pub. It was closed. I wandered around the back to check for life and find out about parking...nobody about but got chatting to a local then left Just had a parking charge !!!!!!

Stayed here in our roof tent, very easy to organise & staff are super friendly. Parked in the top right and really didn’t notice the slope. We were more than happy to have a couple of drinks & dinner in return for parking. We were travelling with our dog that struggles to settle so this quiet spot suited us perfectly, the anchor inn down the road was very busy so glad we went with this option!

We stayed here and it was OK, carpark is a steep slope and the pub was OK but if here again I would drive down the road another 2 miles and stay by the Abbey which is amazing and go to the pub (the anchor) as its beautiful (and flat) right next to the river.

Friendly staff and locals. Traditional pub food and well-kept beer. Two meals with an extra side and six pints between us came to about £45. Owner said he was more than happy to have campers visiting. Surrounding landscape gorgeous and the waitress recommended a walk with wild swimming. There's a slope on the carpark but we were fine parked sideways, as recommended by the owner. Quiet night!

We phoned up to check if we could get some dinner and park our van up for the night - they were more than happy for us to stay in their carpark in exchange for eating and drinking there! The staff are friendly, the food is great, reasonably priced and we had a chat with some lovely locals all evening! Highly recommend, especially if you've had a few days on a road!

Stayed here for the night. Car park is on a slope but they said we could turn sideways which was helpful we choose to leave it where it was as we had already put it in chocks. Quiet location, lovely steak dinner in the pub. Nice village atmosphere everyone friendly . Dog friendly - bonus

Friendly owner of the Sloop Inn let us stay the night in the car park. We missed dinner but got lunch the following day. Car park is sloped and a bit of road traffic in the morning, but felt comfortable and safe and great to be such a short drive from historic Tintern.

Really friendly bar, more than happy to accommodate people in the carpark and really happy that lots of people were stopping off in vans. Carpark is on a bit of a hill, not too bad though and they were happy for us to park across bays. Close to a road but minimal traffic on a country road.
