Great spot a short walk up the hill to find pubs, shops, chippie etc. As said by other users, bigger campers can't get under the barrier, but there were 4 or 5 parked up by the roadside. The gravel castle car park is pay and display during opening hours but free overnight, so we and several others camped up in there, which was nicely sheltered from the wind.

pulled up at 7ish last night. a lot of walkers passing by untill about 9ish then really quiet untill 8am when the builders started work on the unit over the road. We were treated with a helicopter training (see photo) at half 7ish on the evening. star taken off for the building work next to the road but appart from that really nice spot. we were in the junction just outside the parking lot

seemed ok here but got a weird feeling so didn't spend the night

Great spot for small vans (height restriction of 1.9m) wake up to a beaut sunrise. cafes and bars close by

the carpark has a hight barrier now and some has been built on but a layby at entrance will fit 2 motorhomes

We have parked here for years never had any trouble, we can no longer use the car park so we now just park along the road. Kids love watching the Helicopters as long as its not to early lol.

  • 2/5

Height barrier has just been installed. still a few spaces roadside but nothing bigger than a T5 is going to fit in the big open space.

  • 3/5

This car park is now blocked off! Work has begun on the land. There is however, parking along the streets outside, though these are often taken up.

Parked here for the afternoon. Loverly area and amazing views. Lots of campers set up for the night.

  • 2/5

Signs saying no overnight parking so decided to park in lay÷by no problems at aii even on a Saturday night. a camper did use the carpark with out any issues. locals said no one seems to worry . good place to stay if you go to a show at the pavillion as you cant sleep over in the pavillion car park

  • 3/5

Sign says 'Private Land. Maximum stay 6 hours for campervans.' However there is plenty of unrestricted parking along the approach road.

  • 4/5

Wir haben hier ruhig übernachtet. Es steht zwar ein Verbotsschild aber es kam kein Kontrolleur.

  • 5/5

Just stayed the night here and had a quiet nights sleep, no charges or restrictions and plenty of room in the car park. About 10 other campers parked here with us overnight.

  • 4/5

Parking tranquille, mini plage, accès au musée, Marina,... Pas beaucoup de charme, mais bien pratique !

  • 5/5

Large car park, plenty of room. No charges and no restrictions for parking overnight as of July 2019
