Lovely pub in picture postcard village with thatched cottages and beautiful countryside walks , friendly staff and good quality food, definitely worth a stay overnight , just phone ahead and have a drink or such and they’re more then happy to accommodate in the carpark :)

Lovely pub with great friendly staff. Not eaten yet but the menu looks absolutely awesome.

Fantastic pub. The chef is Thomas Frake - masterchef winner 2020. No problems staying, they even offered for us to come in and use the loo/get a coffee at 10am before they opened at 12pm. Great food, wine and coffee! We stayed overnight and had dinner- went for a long walk the next day and came back for Easter Sunday roast.

What a fab overnight stop! Rang ahead to check we couldn’t still eat and if we could stay in the carpark overnight as we were going to be late- arrived 8.20pm - menus and drinks on the table immediately and food delivered super quick. Really friendly and amazing food - so different and lots of options for veggies - highly recommend!! Oh and dog friendly and relatively flat parking :)

Amazing pub and super staff, food was lovely and beer was great! Carpark isn't huge so phone ahead but we had no problems with 2 lwb sprinters.

Amazing place, such friendly staff! Great beer that is brewed by them! Good level pitch, nice and quiet. Found by accident as a stop off after finishing work later than expected. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped over here for 1 night, we found a space easy for our LWB. The food was lovely and organic but very expensive. 2 of us had a starter and main and a drink each and it came to £80! The stay was great though felt very safe, also very quiet. They also had a hose in the garden for us to use :) I had no EE signal here, but they did have WiFi and toilets so great :)

Oh my goodness. Amazing food and brilliant service. Perfect stop if you’re passing through. Us and one other van, flat ground. Note that the overhanging trees are a bit of a pain, so park away from them. We booked a table online and then called ahead to check it was ok to stay. We will use this pub again as a stop over in future.

Hands down the best food I’ve had in ages! The Wheatsheaf was a real find, we had made a booking in advance and went for three courses. Everything we ate was delicious, all the dishes used in season ingredients and they went way beyond normal pub grub! I would recommend a stop here, or even a significant drive even if you aren’t going to stay in the area. We’re planning on going back for Sunday lunch sometime soon! They also have a good selection of interesting beers and cider and I should also mention they are dog friendly as well! Really couldn’t ask for more! They were also happy to let us stay in the night in their carpark, which was reasonably flat, very quiet although you did have to pick your spot because of the overhanging trees. Once the pub closed there were no facilities, so you will need to be self sufficient.

Excellent stopover. Pretty village for a nice stroll and gorgeous traditional pub but with added advantage of being highly focused on sustainably, local ingredients and organic food..Staff are delightful, lovely garden, dog friendly and sensible social distancing and hygeine measures regarding Covid19.

Arrived at night, quiet location, there is a field with a small park (swings and a roundabout) for the kids behind. Friendly staff, we ate pudding only. Ollie the chef was a Masterchef semi finalist! the food and homemade lemonade was delightful!
