A nice quiet spot. Parking is on a slight slope but manageable even in a large motorhome. Access was single lane with some low hanging branches but passable. A great spot on a clear night to see the night sky. No amenities.

Fantastic park up, at the end of a long single track road so no passing traffic and very little reason for anyone else to be in the area late at night. Level enough without ramps and a stunning view over Loch Trool the next morning if the weather is clear.

Amazing spot, quiet with lovely walks around

A great place and almost at the end of the road so it’s quite peaceful. We didn’t stay because it had quite a few vehicles, no signal and was exposed on a windy night.

Lovely quiet spot to spend the night with stunning views all around and great access to hiking trails or a dip in the river if you’re brave enough.

We parked in the upper car park but ended up moving down to the lower car park as it was much flatter. Beautiful spot, lovely walks and the viewpoint is incredible. Very quiet, no cars at all after dark.

beautiful location , lovely walks and scenery

No restrictions for overnight parking, spots are not so flat, close to merrick starting path and close to Loch. The spot would have been perfect but there was a huge amount of midges when we arrived and during the night, less during the morning (we got stung absolutely everywhere...!) This was soo bad that I would not recommend it... if you are lucky to be on a day without the midges, go for it!

Lovely scenic stopover with beautiful views across Loch Trool. Would recommend the 5 mile circular walk around the Loch. Large lower car park then smaller park up further up the hill by Bruces Stone.

Everything went smoothly. Arrived in the lower car park around 4pm in April, during the Easter holidays. No other vehicles there. Found a nice flat parking space. There were a couple of vans staying in the upper car park and a wild camper parked their car in the lower car park opposite us later on. No noise, dark skies, no disturbances. We’d definitely park overnight there again.

Parking très calme dans les bois, départ de rando. Parking non asphalté mais moyen de trouver un endroit part en se mettant de travers.

Arrived around 10pm. Passed a few vans parked in the lower car park but stopped in the top car park alongside a few other vehicles. Lots of space. Road in has a few pot holes.

Really quiet last night. Very sheltered. Lots of parking spaces in two espérate car parks. Views not great from parking spaces but only a 20

Some great little spots to pull in along here, beware the midges - ok in the evening but v.bad in the morning when we were there.

Spent 1 night here in October in a large van (beware potholes). Great location with no issues at all. not sure if its allowed to camp but because it was October nobody seemed bothered.
