Absolutely amazing views day and night. Over 50 motorhomes and camper vans parked up overnight. Free parking this time of year. Easy walk into Scarborough.

When you see the Old Man resting on the Bench ….. you‘re at the right :) Thx for sharing the place

  • 5/5

Great spot to stop over.. not much bother from the local boy racers. Plenty of space. Toilets and cafe for breakfast. Would stay again

  • 5/5

Stayed last night. Was a decent nights sleep, street lights were shining through my windows but hey ho, turned over & was fine. Not much traffic noise last night either, so was bonus.

  • 5/5

Great stopover. Great views and free after 6pm till 9am. Yes it’s can be noisy with local petrol heads. Watch the boulders when reversing into space, it’s quite a tight squeeze.

  • 4/5

Great location if you don't mind a bit of traffic noise - it is a roadside car park after all. It would be nice if they made some/more dedicated, long-ways-on bays for campervans though. No sign of any parking enforcement. Expect it won't long before this location is taken away from us, not helped by those setting up camps and taking up adjoining bays with their awnings out!

Nice views , it’s next to the road and you do get cars wizzing past until about 1130 but did nt bother us we’ve been a few times I got a parking ticket my van is 8 m long and the back wheels were on the white line ,ticket was £25 if you pay within 14 days , just be careful how you park .

We were looking forward to parking here for the day and night from the main road looking down great spot till we got close and see that the bays were so narrow and small the ones that were slightly bigger were all taken. we spent over a hour going up and down just in case we missed a bay gave up,

It may seem fun to park right next to the beach but it wasn’t very pleasant for us right next to the road. The road was very busy all afternoon (on a regular Thursday in June). The worst came at sunset when the street racers came and raced their sports cars up and down the coastal road until midnight. It wasnt just loud but we were downright terrified of them crashing into the parked vehicles.

Beautiful view of the sea. Very busy lots of vans. Road very busy with cars, vans and bikes. Moved on as it was too busy and noisy for us on hot summer’s evening.

just be aware they are making you pay for 2 bays if you hang over at all into the next bay. we had to pay £18 to park the. someone parked in the 2nd bay we had to pay for ( the warden told us we had to). we used to go a lot but will now wait until its free to go as paying £18 seems a bit steep. I also was told 10 motorhomes got ticketed last week for over hanging and not paying 2nd ticket.

Brilliant. Stayed here plenty of times in my Tentbox. Never no trouble

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot. Walked to the castle from here with amazing views. Parking £4.40 for 3 hours during the day. Lunch from the camper van watching high tide splash across the front…

  • 4/5

Good free park up with a good views. Only downside is the noise from the cars till at least midnight, but that’s to be expected parking on a seaside promenade, just put earplugs in. Cafe just down the way, open very early which is good!

  • 5/5

Stayed here the other night, nice spot facing the sea. Paid for parking as stayed past the free time and had a lie in! Great cafe just down from the park up which did a great full English breakfast

  • 4/5

Stayed here on 18/4/23 and had no problems at all other than well documented boys in their cars but that stopped by 11pm and didn’t bother me anyway. Lots of other vans and motor homes so it felt nice and safe. Best of all it’s free over night from 6pm.

  • 4/5

Loads of space - parked up with the sea across the road and view up to the Castle. A fair bit of passing traffic until around 10:30pm then a peaceful night until traffic started up at 6:00am. NB no charge Oct-March.

Excellent spot and especially the free parking between 6pm & 9am. toilet block near to skate park is now pay to use due to vandalism, 40p to use but still a bargain and the Elsan point on the end for emptying onboard toilets is also great, highly reccommended

  • 4/5

lovely spot great views. parked on the road so can get noisy at night early morning. Long vans won't fit it the car parking spaces but some stones pulled out for Reversing onto grass will work. Its not on here but Alpamare swimming pool has a great car park quite a few vans and great for the larger ones..

parcheggio lungo la strada sul mare, gratuito dalle 18 alle 9 del mattino. notte tranquilla ma con il rumore del traffico al mattino presto. bella vista

  • 5/5

fantastic place to pull up after day out, obviously cars up and down but nothing major, loads of spaces no one bothers you. on a warm evening even large grassed areas for kids to play on, skate park and fantastic views

  • 4/5

Brilliant spot after a day at the beach. Lots of other campers and a toilet block open early till late about half way along the bay. Noisy with boy racers until about 1am but would definately go again.

  • 5/5

Awesome spot. No problems what do ever

  • 5/5

Lovely spot no bother at all slept well stayed 2 days altogether

  • 4/5

Just packing up after staying the night. Boy racers never bothered us. Sea was rough at high tide and was coming over the promenade, but still got a decent sleep. Road starts getting busy around 6.30am. Would use this spot again.

  • 5/5

Was there last night with wife and the dog had a good day and a good night sleep bit of traffic noise but not to bad will definitely be going back again it only cost £9 for parking 9am till 6pm then free overnight

  • 5/5

Third weekend here in the last month and no issues to report, free parking after 6pm until the following morning at 9am then free parking from 31st October until 1st March, hope it lasts.

  • 4/5

This was a good spot , plenty of space . We went at busiest time of year . Yes few boy racers .Didnt disturb us had good nights sleep , fantastic view and lots to see and do . I totally recommend the clock cafe which is at the Spa end . Full of history . I wish council would invest that cafe which has the best view in Scarborough!!!

  • 5/5

    Awesome views

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay. Plenty of parking which is free overnight. Nice views. Can walk around and not far to the main bit where the shops/beach/arcades etc are. There are toilets near by and a cafe. We had a takeaway from Hiko’s Kebabland which was gorgeous!! 100% would recommended and great service too. Only downside was the noise from traffic and young lads/lasses in cars driving around and being noisy late at night but apart from that it was a nice place to stay and we would go back again.

  • 4/5

Me and my wife stopped here a few times, which was fine, then the council put large rocks down on the grass verge proventing you reversing in, when we last stopped here the last time their was only a few spaces now, we still stopped the night, but it was arrendous with racers on the prominard, how some one hasn't been killed I,LL never know, police must be turning a blind eye.

  • 3/5

It was good here but there were lots of people around

  • 4/5

My husband and I parked here during day as only parking bays long enough for our camper., very relaxing watching the sea, even had a nanna nap .
