A nice quiet(ish) free overnight stop, 6pm to 8am. It is a Car Park so expect some coming and goings. No dramas packing our Motorhome there. No facilities. BEWARE THE SANDWICH MOSQUITOS.
Parking Gazen Salts, impasse. Parking public clôturé, prés Krickett adjacents, réserve naturelle, vue sur les mâts de voile de la rivière Stour. Deux petites poubelles. Calme, beaucoup d'oiseaux chantent et marchent en quelques minutes dans le centre à travers de jolies petites rues. Plusieurs grands pubs et cafés.
Gazen Salts Car Park, dead end. Enclosed public parking, adjacent Krickett meadows, nature reserve, view of sailing masts from the river Stour. Two little garbage cans. Quiet, lots of birds singing and walking in a few minutes in the center through nice little streets. Several great pubs and cafes. No campervans or motorhomes.
Gazen Salts Car Park, Sackgasse. Eingefasster öffentlicher Parkplatz, angrenzend Krickettwiesen, Natur Reservat, Blick auf Segelmasten vom Fluß Stour. Zwei kleine Mülltonnen. Ruhig, viel Vogelgezwitscher und zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum durch nette kleine Straßen. Mehrere tolle Pubs und Cafés.

shakeawake04/09/2023Beautiful positioning by the river / little yachting, huge meadows and beautiful little wild forest. Nearby pub also more than okay. One star less as it seems to get busy there with local hikers, and cars, camping there feels bit out of place. Would only do it with smaller vans for the night. + be kind to the locals, leave the place in a better shape than you found it

De passage retour Ferry (à 25 minutes) , parking très pratique, calme, gratuit la nuit, pas de service, poubelles. Sommes arrivés à 19h, avons payé 9,60 livres pour la journée du lendemain, ce qui nous permit de visiter Sandwich, jolies maisons médiévales. Voir le "White Mill Rural Heritage Centre" à 500m, moulin rénové par des bénévoles d'une association, visite gratuite, très intéressante.

Hübscher kleiner Parkplatz mit ausreichendem Hundeauslauf. Ruhige Nacht verbracht und kurzen Weg zur Fähre genutzt. Vielen Dank an die Stadt Sandwich.

SylviaWilhelm24/04/2023Ruhiger Ort, um die Nacht vor der Fähre zu verbringen. Sonntags ist das Parken ganztägig frei. Geeignet für Wohnmobile bis 6m. Fish & Chips bei Ossies sind hervorragend!

Great place to park and settle to visit the town. Along the river there is a museum where you can see them making parts of boats with techniques they used centuries ago. They make fresh bread there too. Very interesting place and very informative. They are recreating a boat from medieval times. From Sandwich town you can walk 40mins to Samdwich Bay pebble beach.

mamiwataii07/07/2022nous avons passé deux nuits ici,en arrivant à 18 h30, pour 8 gbp. La cité est magnifique, pleine de vielles maisons, avec une documentation bilingue dans toute la ville sur l'histoire et les lieux. A noter,un petit musée gratuit, le volontaire vous prête un document en français, la salle de l'ancien tribunal est impressionnant e. Il y aussi une gentille réserve naturelle à côté du parking.

Free overnight parking in the car park from 6pm-9pm, quiet and peaceful. Sign did not mention no to campers, no toilets but can access these in Guildhall car park close by. Lots of nice pubs.

Peaceful and tranquil location with free overnight parking. Sandwich is a beautiful small town and well worth a visit.

Great overnight spot, nice and quiet, no problems. Only a short walk in the town, plenty of pubs and restaurants plus a co-op & spar. We’re in a 7 metre van and fit just fine in the middle row. Sign says no caravans, coaches, mini buses but doesn’t say no campervans. We stayed trouble free overnight
