This place is a godforsaken hole. The toilets are dirty and disgusting. There is rubbish everywhere. It’s a kind of post apocalyptic hellscape.
Proctors est un grand site dans la vallée de Soar, à côté de la rivière Soar, avec beaucoup d'espace pour le camping et les caravanes touristiques ainsi que les caravanes statiques, les amarres pour bateaux et la pêche.
Nous sommes idéalement situés en bordure du village de Barrow Upon Soar mais à proximité des commerces et autres commodités tout en bénéficiant d'un emplacement à la campagne.
Depuis l'entrée du parc, vous rejoindrez à pied (2-3 minutes) le centre de Barrow Upon Soar qui compte une sélection de magasins, de pubs, de plats à emporter, un petit supermarché, une gare et une bibliothèque.
Proctors is a large site in the Soar valley next to the river Soar with plenty of space for camping and touring caravans as well as static caravans, boat moorings and fishing.
We are conveniently located at the edge of the village of Barrow Upon Soar but close to the shops and other facilities whilst enjoying a countryside location.
From the entrance of the Park it is a short (2-3 minute) walk to the centre of Barrow Upon Soar which has a selection of shops, pubs, take-aways, a small supermarket, railway station and library.

Wir liegen günstig am Rande des Dorfes Barrow Upon Soar, aber in der Nähe von Geschäften und anderen Einrichtungen und genießen gleichzeitig eine ländliche Lage.
Vom Eingang des Parks aus ist es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang (2-3 Minuten) zum Zentrum von Barrow Upon Soar, wo es eine Auswahl an Geschäften, Pubs, Imbissbuden, einen kleinen Supermarkt, einen Bahnhof und eine Bibliothek gibt.

Proctors is een grote camping in de Soar-vallei naast de rivier de Soar, met veel ruimte voor kampeer- en toercaravans, maar ook voor stacaravans, aanlegplaatsen voor boten en vissen.
We zijn gunstig gelegen aan de rand van het dorp Barrow Upon Soar, maar dichtbij de winkels en andere voorzieningen terwijl we genieten van een landelijke locatie.
Vanaf de ingang van het park is het een korte wandeling (2-3 minuten) naar het centrum van Barrow Upon Soar, waar u diverse winkels, pubs, afhaalrestaurants, een kleine supermarkt, een treinstation en een bibliotheek vindt.

Camperjena19/09/2023Interesting place where a lot is possible. Don’t rely on toilets/shower. £20 for a night without EHU seems a bit high.

Der Betreiber war zwar enttäuscht, daß wir nicht übernachten wollten, ermöglichte uns dennoch (gegen Gebühr) das Grauwasser und die Toilette zu entsorgen und Frischwasser aufzunehmen. Das hier ist ein sehr großer Trailer-Park mit unterschiedlichen Bewohnern. Die kennen zu lernen (wenn das geht) könnte den Horizont erweitern.

The electric part of site we felt unsafe on, lots of abandoned vehicles and caravans, lots of dogs off leads, loads of rubbish left by bins and abandoned old toilet blocks etc. Could not use a canoe on lake...as advertised. However.... if someone wanted a cheap wild style holiday... with lots of space and natureleza around them...this site could be for you. All depends what you're looking for.

On a Positive we loved the wildness of the camp and how you could park anywhere near lake or river in your own space. Depending on where you park. It could be a very peaceful holiday. You would defiently need your own toilet as toilets are along way away. And site toilets have no toilet paper and seemed unclean when we had them. The only washing up facilities are in bathroom.
adventuresofskyla15/05/2021Absolutely awful, booked for the weekend and paid for a non electric pitch (needed to just use the toilets as we don’t have on in our van) toilets were 20mins walk away and were absolutely awful as were the people on the site, didn’t feel safe, super run down and just left still trying to get our money back!
seacaptain23/08/2020It is very run down lots of people living on site albeit very friendly. Stayed 2 nights. £35.00 with EHU. only one toilet block not very hyginic. one elsan point. Lots of caravans abandond.
LadyGenevra30/07/2019Dies ist mir Abstand der hässlichste Platz, auf dem ich bis jetzt gestanden habe. Das CV einzige, was er kann ist günstig sein (12,50 Pfund für Camper, 1 Person, 1 Hund. Hier ist alles runtergekommen... Trailer, sanitäre Anlagen und Ambiente, riesiges Gelände unter Strommasten. Ich bin geblieben, da es aus Kübeln geschüttet hat und ich keine Lust mehr hatte mich im eine Alternative zu bemühen.
