Keep Away from this Area. They messed it up with the Booking System. I thought it would be a great spot along my route, but instead of recovering from a long drive, I tried to find out how to pay. I asked other campers, none of them had a clue, stayed illegal. All Parkings in this Area work like this.

Great spot, but the national park has introduced an online booking/payment system, cost is just £4 per night. For more details, and a host of other camping spots check the site.

Heavenly spot if it's available. Nice and quiet overnight. Spent the morning watching the swans on the perfectly calm lake whilst drinking my morning cup of coffee.

If you can get the spot on the left as you come through the gates, it’s the best spot I’ve ever wild camped. Roll out of bed, straight to the loch… no passing foot traffic, and effectively your own private place. Other spots at this location not suitable for larger vans (and smaller ones will need levelling blocks). Stayed for 2 nights with no trouble

Great spot right by the water. Beautiful sun set and sun rise. It's a little unclear if you have to get a permit. The map looks like it's just the surrounding area that requires one. No toilets. Defo recommend this spot.

Beautiful views, couldn’t be closer to the water. First experience with my campervan and loved it. Will be stopping here again.

Quiet car park. I would recommend for a night or two. Cold water tap at car park just up the road.

Stayed here for the night, lovely quiet spot right by the water, some occasional passing traffic but no problem. We paid the £3 online on arrival as didn’t know about it before. Good 4G.

Two spots here about 400metres or so from one another. No problems at all, great view of the loch and surrounding area

  • 5/5

Quiet, beautiful views and many campers around. There is no information inside this parking about paying and staying overnight but the motorhomes around said they always stay there without problems.

Stunning place to stop right next to the Loch a bit uneven in places would recommend parking in the square near the gate.

In and around Callander March to September there are national park byelaws so you need to get a camping permit to stop legally in most cases. Only £3, so worth doing to keep the peace and stop any further byelaws being introduced.

Great place, close to road however no issues sleeping. Good signals - worked the day next to the lake

Quiet in winter, beautiful view of the lake. We were the only van there. Some local fishers in the morning. Also perfect for a wee nippy morning swim.
