Vila Real, 31 Avenida da Europa

We have been there in a Saturday night. Until 5am, we have, “car fights”, and disco all night long. Impossible to sleep!

The place is quiet but it has its downside: it’s very far from the city center. There is a nice park just next to it which is nice to have a meal and peaceful at night. There is not much shade for your vehicle though.

This is a normal carpark beside the Corgo river with a picnic area, kids playground, public toilets, swimming pool, walking/running paths and general activity area. There are no dedicated parking spaces for motorhomes. The spaces are all car sizes and on a slight hill. During the day it was pretty busy but at night we were the only vehicle. There are NO services. There are some small bins in the carpark. The picnic tables across the road are all in shade. The kids playground has some broken items but generally ok. The public toilets were open during the day. The smell is not great and some vandalism has occured with broken flush button, broken toilet roll holder etc.. The hand dryer is still working though. The town is 10 minutes down the river path beside the swimming pools, across the pedestrian bridge and up the steep wooden steps built around some trees passing the campsite. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from but most close at 7pm. Some also close around 3pm after lunch. We each had soup and a toasted sandwich in Nina's coffee shop, all for €7 which was really nice. The town is small and had some nice parks and churches. You will see basket weaving, tinsmith and dressmaker/tailor shops still in operation which was a nice surprise. We had a quiet and peaceful night eventhough there were some cars and people were talking in the carpark until 12. There was also some road noise but it didn't bother us. The MEO phone signal was not great here. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) We did not encounter any mosquitoes or bites here.

Bom local para pernoitar perto de um parque fantástico para passear a pé (dando a volta às piscinas). muito barulhento durante a noite com muitos carros a passar a grande velocidade.

The park is nice but also a bit noisy at night

Zona de estacionamento muito tranquila, em frente a jardim com zona de barbecue e um parque infantil. Permite pernoita sem problemas.
