Cemetery carpark, there’s a petition to stop parking here due to abuse by some users. There are other spots back down the road that are legal and lovely
Suivez la route jusqu'au parking de la plage de Luskentyre. Le parking peut être occupé pendant la journée. A l'abri du vent car situé derrière les dunes de sable. Ce site est pratiquement sur la plage donc parfait s'il fait beau. De plus, l'île de Taransay (utilisée pour l'émission télévisée Cast Away au début des années 2000) est à une courte distance de la côte, donc partir de cette plage avec un kayak est un plan alternatif si vous souhaitez camper sur l'île.
Follow the road down to the car park for Luskentyre beach. Car park can be busy during the day. Shelter from the wind as it is located behind the sand dunes. This site is practically on the beach so perfect if the weathers good. Also the island of Taransay (used for the tv programme Cast Away in the early 2000’s) is a short distance off the coast so setting of from this beach with a kayak is an alternative plan if you’d like to camp over on the island.
Folgen Sie der Straße hinunter zum Parkplatz zum Strand von Luskentyre. Tagsüber kann es auf dem Parkplatz sehr voll sein. Windgeschützt, da es hinter den Sanddünen liegt. Dieser Platz liegt praktisch am Strand und ist daher perfekt, wenn das Wetter gut ist. Auch die Insel Taransay (die Anfang der 2000er Jahre für die Fernsehsendung „Cast Away“ genutzt wurde) liegt nicht weit von der Küste entfernt. Wenn Sie also auf der Insel campen möchten, können Sie von diesem Strand aus mit dem Kajak aufbrechen.

Best not to park in cemetery car park as its reserved for visiting patrons. Only room for 3 vans, awful parking situation, lots of other nice spots to parkup, have a look at West Harris Trust or North Harris Trust websites for more info.

Small car park and toilets are a bit grim but the beach is 3 minutes walk and beautiful!
faurys9323/04/2019Le parking est très en pente, l'unique place se trouve à côté d'une grosse benne. Aucune vue, franchement aucun intérêt. Nous sommes repartis.
