Be very careful if you have, external storage or bikes etc. just pulled in and a group literally waiting for new pickings hanging around in the hedges eyeing up what's on offer. Have family who live in Portsmouth and know the place very well. plenty of safer and nicer places to park near by, may be fine if you have nothing to offer on your van.

Not so busy, half empty. Very quiet and feel safe, I slept here and next day I left my van here and went to visit the city. All good. It was like a breath of fresh air in this busy city to have this little break.

Felt safe here last night, but have woken up to find I'm completely blocked in by other users...

Parking très bien, nous nous sommes senti en sécurité. Nous y avons dormi une nuit. Nous sommes garés dans le fond avec notre camping-car de 8 mètres

Great little parking area but not suitable for a large motor home. Also please be considerate of the people that live in the nearby houses and only park there if you can't find anywhere more suitable because its the only parking residents have and there isn't any other parking close enough to their houses to be able to carry shopping indoors etc.

Perfect for before the ferry. Quiet considering it’s next to the motorway and port. Only woken up by the ferry leaving on a foggy morning HOOONK!

Great free parking with no height barriers couldn’t see any signs for no overnight parking but it dose allow 24hr parking once within 48hrs ,few vans overnight to wait for early ferry. Bit of a trek to town centre about 35min walk . Very flat and brick paved but near main road

Just parked up for an overnight stay before an 8am ferry just up the road. Looks good so far. As said before bit of road noise but I'm OK with that.

spent the first night in the van hear. nice and quiet and even had a portaloo in the corner!

Great free place to stop overnight to catch the early morning ferry, however it is small and quite tight. We are in a 7m van & we managed but any longer & you’d be sticking out too far. Also if you can tolerate earplugs for sleeping I recommend them as it’s very close to the motorway. No services.

Good place, really near the ferry terminal so perfect to have a good rest after a late arrival. Quiet, clean, flat and toilet available.

Perfect before and after ferry spot. It is right by the motorway but there was very little noise on a Sunday night. The portaloo belongs to a building site around the corner and the builders weren't thrilled to find us in there. Be aware. 24 hour max stay.

Even has a portaloo with toilet paper! Parked here & walked 30 mins to Gunwharf Quay for a night out hassle free.

Ok for a 7m van quiet with a portable toilet in the corner of the car park

Nice quiet little car park not far from IOW ferry, perfect

Arrived at midnight ahead of a morning sailing to Isle of Wight. Lovely quiet and level spot with spaces available. We were the only motorhome looked like nearby residents park their cars there. Not seen anyone else walking about this Saturday morning.

We are staying here on a Wednesday night before a 9am ferry to iow. So far its a brilliant place for the night. Nice and quiet. Little benches to sit on for a view. We have arrived in the dark so will add any daylight comments tomorrow. But all looks great and we are 7m long. No bother parking as not so busy this time of year.

Spot calme pour attendre le ferry, réveillé en pleine nuit par des frontales, sûrement la sécurité

Small car park signs state max 24 hrs in 48hrs. No comment on overnight parking. So we stayed here undisturbed. It is free but but you couldn’t park more than a 6.5 van in it. Sat sat nav 3 mins to Ferry Port
