Not much here, just a quite stretch of road with a bit of grass/pavement on one side. But it’s pretty quite and particularly good if you have a 2.5mt high van like mine. In the area all the parking spots have height restrictions.

Surrounded by nature, but next to a busy duel carriageway. If you can sleep with the steady noise, you are parked on the section of the old main road, now bypassed by the new one. There is lots of space and pretty surroundings.
Es ist von Natur umgeben, aber mit einer viel befahrenen Hauptstraße in der Nähe. Wenn Sie mit dem ständigen Lärm leben können, ist es ein Abschnitt der alten Hauptstraße, die jetzt von der neuen umgangen wird. Viel Platz und schöne Umgebung.

Joyous_Angels26/03/2022Great lane for a stop over, easy to manoeuvre. Ear plugs are needed for light sleepers as lane sitting beyond a dual carriageway. Would stop here again.

Stopped here for one night. Very quiet spot with only 2 other vans parked up and lots of space. No facilities as it's just a layby/no through road. Nice woodland for a walk. The noise from the dual carriageway wasn't a problem.
preacherman05/03/2020Used this spot several times now as relations live near by. Water floods the fields near by but doesn't threaten the road. Nice little town nearby.
Retro131/12/2019Whilst the noise of a busy duel carriageway can put some people off, the views are spectacular. A wonderful overnight parkup that is away from a town, but close enough if needed.
kmargo02/08/2019An easy parking place, if you don't mind main road noise thru hedges then it is a good place to stay overnight. Many cyclists, hikers and locals go by and very little traffic.

Nice spot felt very safe. Traffic quieted after 12 till about 5am. There is a bin for rubbish but only small and someone had overfilled. Nice meadow walk by the Thames home to a rare flower dragon flotilery. Some WW2 history as well. Short walk into Cricklade.
