Great stopover place. Massive car park but most places would need levelling ramps. Clean toilet block. Elsan point. 5 minutes walk into the village with plenty of nice shops and 4 pubs. £15 per night to stopover paid into the honesty box.

Quiet night. It is what it is- a large carpark. When driving on, take the right hand road past the offices, not the left. The black waste is behind the toilets- no water there we could find. There is fresh water tap near the offices. Think £15 is a bit steep, but it’s great to have the services as these are hard to find. Thank you Auction Mart.

Lovely park up, just a short walk into the town. It got quite busy in the morning with auction/farm traffic but no problem what so ever. Payment has been raised since the last time I was here, toilets very basic but spotless.

  • 5/5

Why did you not pay the £10 fee? , now we have to pay £15, if you cannot afford this fee stay at home, people who dodge the fees really cause these sites to close. Or they close the toilets due to lack of funds etc. you are the root cause. It is a farmers market, remember that before you go, it’s a lovely place to stay, tight fisted people ruin it for all of us.

  • 5/5

Had a lovely night here, 24/7 toilets. As others have said, they’re basic, but it beats peeing in a lay-by. The view is really lovely, as expected there’s a little bit of farm noise until about 9pm. It didn’t bother us in the slightest. Will be coming back.

  • 5/5

We spend a night there and the views are beautiful, 5 mins walk to town. The facility itself is spacious with a good access to walks, access to toilets which are maybe not modern but clean, toilet pepper provided, soap too. Waste disposal . There's an honesty box £15 per night. It's on a main road. If you come from Aysgarth side then it's on the left side, the sign says Hawes Auction Mart.

perfect spot close to Hawes. quiet

  • 5/5

Fantastic location for Hawes. Very quiet and toilets open all night. Its set up with an honesty box, please don't forget to pay as they have cctv at the entrance so can see who comes in. It would be a shame if they stopped offering overnight campervan parking. It isn't a level site but a set of ramps will work fine

  • 5/5

Great place..5 minutes walk into town.. dated toilets.but clean and tidy..

  • 3/5

It’s a fantastic spot only a few minutes walk into the town. Basic/clean toilet open all night if you need it, fresh water tap available, and an toilet disposal point. At £10 this was was worth it, but £15 now feels a little steep for what is essentially a concrete car park. Saying that, I would likely use it as a one night stopover if need be.

smell of fear in this place just put me off ........ and price gone up to £15. i left..

  • 5/5

Great park up within easy reach of Hawes town cents and the Wensleydale creamery. Plenty of space and very quite. £10 in honesty box but well worth it. Toilets open all night. Not the best but clean. Tap next to farmers market for getting water. Will definitely use this park up again.

  • 4/5

Hello, we spent a pleasant night here. Toilets are clean and it’s just a short walk from the town. Thank you!

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 1 night to test out our self build. loved it, quite and toilet open all night, nice and clean will definitely be back. £10 in honesty box.

  • 5/5

Huge carpark behind the cattle market. Put £10 in the honesty box for overnight stay. Use of clean and tidy toilets. Water tap available. 5 minute walk into Hawes Town centre. Ideal for a visit to a lovely town.

  • 4/5

This place is spacious, wonderful views, totally tranquil at night and brilliantly located to walk into Hawes. You can stay on market day but ask in the office where is best to keep out the way of the farmers trucks. It’s actually very entertaining on market day! The honesty box is next to the portacabins, please pay! Thank you for allowing motorhomes to stay!

  • 5/5

Great facilities, toilets are old but well maintained. there Is fresh drinking water and an elan disposal for our toilet empty which is fantastic. we'll worth £10 there's a few campers when we stayed but you was never next to somebody. plenty of space and great 4G if needed.

  • 5/5

Little gem right in hawes old but clean toilets ( you can tell someone cares ) entrance opposite dales museum next to ramp , plenty of room , mixed hard/loose surface shame about some people no putting a tenner in the honesty box so I wrote my reg on it I am not sure it’s allowed though.

  • 5/5

Great location hard standing area with room for 100 vans plus. no grey waste but toilets exceptionally clean I would definitely use this again. Hawes is a great little town.

  • 5/5

As per all previous comments, fantastic location and views. 5 min walk into town and loads of walks nearby. Excellent stop.

  • 5/5

Hard standing area. About 10 campers here when we stayed but you wouldn't know as plenty of space. Short walk into town.

  • 5/5

Very quiet , on a slope but easy to find flat spaces near the top, overnight £10 honesty box near entrance. it's a short stroll into town.

  • 4/5

Stayed here bank holiday weekend. So convenient for the town. Loos open plenty of space waste disposal, bins and water available. Several motorhomes parked. £10 per night brilliant

  • 4/5

Stayed here 1 night, basic but extremely quiet spot on large gravelled car park, toilets open during day and busy with farmers market from around 8am, felt welcome and cost £10 (honestly box)

  • 5/5

Good park up very quiet will use again

  • 4/5

Short visit to weigh up for future and does all it says on the tin. Great for walking in to Hawes and surrounding areas. Water available, toilets day time and quiet location.

  • 4/5

Large space, nice to be able to walk into Hawes. However toilets closed on a night and be prepared to be surrounded by tractors and trailers the next day if it’s a market day.

  • 5/5

Great quiet site. Views spectacular. Short walk into Hawes- lots of pubs/restaurants

  • 5/5

Really impressed with this find. Nice and quiet and plenty of space to park, fresh water, toilets (although closed). 5 min walk from the village centre; public toilets, pubs and shops. Honesty box located by the toilets. Please pay up £10 per night so we don’t loose this ideal camping spot :)

  • 4/5

Lovely stop over only marked down due to toilets being locked but used toilets 400m away in the museum carpark. lots of takeaways and pubs and quaint shops to visit. massive car park and super peaceful night. popped a tenner into honest box. would defo visit again

  • 4/5

Spacious, convenient parkup but the toilets were locked for most of my 2-night stay. There are some in the Dales Museum car park 400 yards away that I used instead.

  • 5/5

Nice big area to park. Water tap and black waste drain near toilet block which are normally closed Make sure to pay so not to spoil for the rest in red honesty box

  • 5/5

Great place for a stopover ,short walk into Hawes ,plenty of pubs a chippy ,and eateries, please pop. a tenner in the honesty box for your stay

  • 5/5

Good views, quiet day and night, only a few hundred yards to the town with shops, restaurants, pubs etc

  • 5/5

10 minute leisurely stroll to centre of Hawes. large hardstanding area with some level areas. quiet site which uses an honesty box, it is £10 overnight so please pay as it would be a shame to lose it. plenty of walks, cycle routes (on road and off road) from this location. small kids playground a 4 minute walk away.

  • 4/5

Plenty of space quite and mostly flat parking. Water outlet on main building as you drive in toilets dated but very very clean. No one was around so used the honesty box for payment. Location is just after main village heading east on the main road as the location on this takes you round the back entrance which can be tricky with the larger mohos. As we found out the hard way.lol. There is no bins around but we found a large recycling area in the corner of the village car park.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay. loads of room. short walk to Hawes. spoken to the chap in the hut and he says lots of people stay here and don't pay. it's only £10. if you stay please pay or it'll be another place lost to the many because of the few
