Sign indicating not even overnight parking allowed, let alone overnight camping! Checked price on the app for cost from 6:30 until 9am the next day, was over £16 as it wanted two whole day rates. We moved on. Was also very windy when we visited.
Update 29/05/23. Height barriers are back making access to all of the fields impossible unless you are under 2 metres. Main car park still accessible.
Brilliant spot - got chatting to a local that uses this site regularly and reckons in the summer upwards of 50 vans a night stay over - the local NT chap does come round and tell you no overnight camping. Please respect this place and leave no rubbish or scorched grass from fires and BBQs or before you know it will be gated!
stayed for one night on the grass car park quite a lot of car and van movement up until midnight and then very peaceful I wouldn't worry about staying overnight as i was one of approximately 30 vans!
Great spot for day parking particularly now the extra grass areas are open for the summer. It's a National Trust Pay and Display car park. Bizarely you can pay for 24hrs parking but there is also a sign saying No Overnighting....? That said I live locally and people do overnight here without hassle, particularly the many surfers who frequent this spot.
Sadly water tap removed and toilets boarded up. 22 March 2022 Good phone signal. Typical gravel carpark, mostly slightly slopping but a few good level spots. Great spot for surfers.
Stayed 2 separate nights while working on the island. Both nights visited by groups of young lads setting fireworks off but no trouble (except for the litter they left, but it gave me something to do with my morning brew). Amazing skies at night, no light pollution. Great starting point for walks up or down the cliff side and awesome surfing and swim spot. Plus dinosaur fossils here.

Stayed here for 1 night early April. Very quiet with a beautiful view. Good for the coastal walks. Water from outside tap too :)
