The water is indeed free. The water tap is the biggest thread (3/4"?) and the attendant has an adapter, but not for Gardena types of connectors. just a clamp-on type.

Muy amable la chica de la estación. Te presta el adaptador de manguera y te permite llenar agua limpia gratis.

Perfect! They did not want to get paid, but I insisted on giving them a small amount for their service. Dumping used water in the carwash and refilling fresh water for free, please don't be so blunt to get this service for free and honour this service with a little payment, it will give you good vibes, don't take it for granted.
