A great place to stay to explore Aldeburgh. As stated you need to be in the lower area as motorhomes are not allowed in the area closest to the sea. The area was quite busy we arrived at lunchtime so got a spot easily.

  • 1/5

Not an overnight spot. There is a set of rules at the entry to the area of Slaughden and it says that Vehicle in this parking cannot be used for cooking, camping or sleeping. We didn’t stay.

Nice spot but very busy. unlikely to get a spot on weekends.

  • 5/5

Walks in to nature, walks in to town, walks along the beach. Ticks all the boxes. Quiet at night

Great spot - a lot of potholes but manageable if you take your time. Three campers there - magnificent views over the river, short walk to toilets and town is lovely too. Great spot.

Good spot. Leave enough room for those visiting the Sailing club and take your litter with you. Be mindful of the seals along the beach and don't let your dog chase them....! Take your litter with you...!

Excellent spot within easy walking distance from the town ( 5 minutes) lovely views over the fields and water. Very quiet. (4 vans in late October. )Public toilets are 5 minutes walk away.

Lovely park up looking over the water. Short walk into town and to everything Aldeburgh has to offer, highly recommended.

Excellent spot for a visit to Aldeburgh! Usually quiet in the evening except for when the Yacht club nearby has a party with loud music. Toilets in near distance.

Saturday of August bank holiday weekend 2022, got last convenient space about 730pm. In village, currently, fish and chip shops close at 8pm, co-op closes at 9pm, 8pm Sunday. Village very quiet from 10pm. Site very quiet from then. In morning, car park visitors started about 6am. Wakeful noise from about 0730. Lovely views, great amenities in village, felt cosy and safe.

We stayed here when they had an event on at the sailing club. So got a couple of disturbances by the locals going past. It states no parking nearer the sailing club. So make sure you don't go to far down.

Been spoilt by locals playing loud music and having a sofa in the field. They have an old van there and ride a motorbike around the fields. Another great park up ruined as been coming here for years.

  • 4/5

Beautiful views and walks. No facilities Ringo in most areas. Park just outside the Yacht Club, but not in their spaces

  • 5/5

Just parked up. 5 min walk in to town. Lots of pubs and restaurants. Free parking and nice views. Will be staying here tonight.

  • 5/5

Yacht Club Carpark keep right to the lower area not the high park on the sea wall. Currently empty Yacht Club help. . I’m sure restrictions may be imposed if the polite notices meet non compliance. Anyway had a fantastic night. The track is off road and bumpy so drive with care. Pub. Store. Pharmacy and other essentials in the village . Cycling walking etc on the wild coastline.

We stayed here last night and the only noise was the crashing waves. We were the only ones here. Short walk to a lovely promenade. Lots of walks. Toilets nearby and rubbish bin on site. Thank you to the sailing club

Awesome stop over . Park down by the sailing club. Free parking . There are NO restrictions if you park where the listing tells you . Been here loads of time . Keep it clean and it won’t get spoilt

  • 5/5

There are no restrictions to parking here, other than a polite sign saying don't park beyond this point due to turning vehicles. No time limits, no size restrictions. Just a fantastic spot with excellent walks in all directions. Now the road has been relaid, makes for a top spot. Will return.

No parking here now . no Campers over 5.5 mtrs !

  • 3/5

'No sleeping overnight in vehicles allowed' small notice at the top of sign. Also conditions on back 'No parking in excess of 18 hours' '£80 Fine for improper use'

  • 3/5

Free spot to go for a walk to the beach/lightbouse, but the road in was terrible! massive potholes bigger than the van, quite deep and flooded with water so just had to risk how deep they were. bottom of the van scratched a few times. van was fine left for about 5hrs there, but not very busy on a sunday in march. didn't stay the night. day parking only.

Stayed here last night and had knock on door from an uniformed Council official this morning (Sat) saying that staying overnight was "not allowed for health & safety reasons". She explained that we would incur an £80 fine if offence was repeated.
