Venteux.

Gravelled, fairly level off road parking area at top of hill with lovely views- much quieter than the viewpoint that is west along the by-way. Windy. Great local hikes.

Windig.

Was expecting it to be quiet overnight due to past reviews and it definitely was not, lots of cars coming and going throughout the night. Might be quieter on a weeknight. No one bothered me but it wasn’t what I expected and as such I felt on edge. I considered leaving but as others have said access is via a single track road with a lot of large potholes so I didn’t fancy that in the dark.

Silent night, so peaceful, didn’t hear a thing all night or morning, only saw one van pass by. Beautiful views, nice place to wake up. Single track road to get to it so good job there is next to no traffic

  • 5/5

Phenomenal view, a few cars pop by, mostly dog walkers. plenty of space for several vehicles. no bin. some local youths popped by around midnight to start a fire but didn't come near the vehicles. beautiful sunrise and definitely worth it. Will definitely go again

beautiful blustery views, fairly level parking area, lots of sheep.

All the plus points that everyone has mentioned. However.... CAUTION & AWARENESS ARE REQUIRED!!... We come up here quite often & I can safely say I've never known the tick situation to be as bad as it is this year so be sure to check yourselves, kiddies and furries thoroughly......

Stunning spot with amazing views! Footpaths nearby and a great place to catch the sunset. one other van overnight, few walkers in the evening and morning. Our favourite spot so far. Will definitely bookmark this one!

  • 5/5

Really enjoyed this spot with amazing views. Only one other motorhome up there great sunset and an amazing thunderstorm at 5am. Very quiet and peaceful spot. Felt safe! Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

One of the best views ever and no road noise at all. Spent a lovely night here with couple of other vans. Definitely recommended.

Wunderschöne Lage mit 360 Grad Panoramablick, sehr windig ansonsten still.

Spectacular view, the sound of birds chirping, and a welcome breeze after a long hot day

  • 5/5

Perfect spot, stunning views, out of the way, easy access to walks if you have a dog with you will definitely be coming back again

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot! Lovely views and walks nearby. Rarely heard passing traffic, plenty of space and quiet enough that we didn't feel like we were in the way of the occasional locals. Trade the view and park on flat ground behind the bushes/trees, or use some chocks to even it out. Top notch off grid spot and fast 4g signal with mast nearby. Thanks

Fantastic spot! Roads leading up are single lane but many passing points. Perfectly accessible in LWB sprinter. Very quiet location limited passing traffic. Enough space for 10 campers easy. Level in patches. Map location not quiet correct lot is 200m from point provided and not visible at map location due to gradient. Dogs love it here. 1 bar on EE. Top of hill exposed to wind. Will be returning!

Fantastic spot. We were alone from around 8pm. Until we left at 10am the next day. No facilities. Incredibly quiet. Great views and good phone reception. Not far away (9 mins) is a family shopper. Supplied us with Calor Gas

it was windy on the hill but a nice place to park. roads a narrow on the way but not much traffic around.

  • 5/5

Combe Gibbet is the name of the place - Me and my partner stayed here overnight. No restrictions to staying. Quiet place to stay. Lovely high views with some sheep around. Road can be very bumpy with pot holes depending on which road you take. Highly recommend!

A gem of a spot, arrived at 7pm obviously pitch black being January. have a citroen berlingo camper. was nobody else parked up..weather was terrible, because it was high up in the hills was getting hit with heavy winds and rain. lights were on the van at 3am.. looked out curtains and was police, probably checking to see if van was stolen. they drove off no issues. beautiful scenery in morning. 5*

Wonderful location. Arrived at dusk to 2 dog walker cars. A very wild, wet and windy night but the wind rocked us to sleep and we felt safe - we are a big Overlander though. Approach from Faccombe was definitely the best option. Woke up to sunshine and an amazing view!

  • 5/5

Wonderful location atop a hill, a few flat areas but also quite bumpy in areas. Great phone reception and nice walks nearby. A gem!

  • 5/5

Peaceful. Excellent views all around. Brilliant Phone and TV reception. The approaching hills around are not that steep if your vehicle has good torque. We came up in a 7.5 tonne Mercedes Vario. We would definitely come back again. Really like this place. Top park up!!

  • 4/5

Nice overnight stop. Quite busy up until midnight due to meteor shower event. Quiet road a couple of meters from parking space so kept dogs in or on lead. Lovely walk with the dogs in the morning off lead safe inclosed field.

  • 5/5

Fairly local to me and use quite a bit, at least once a week. So quiet and peaceful, the odd bleat from the sheep and chirp from the birds. Great phone signal and stunning views. Busier on the weekends with Walkers/Dog walkers but never struggled for a place to park.

  • 5/5

We came up the steep hill from the west & when we left there are no major steep hills. If you come East & pass through Faccombe any vehicle will not encounter a steep incline. Please note .. single lane. We stayed for 2 nights & it was very quiet. Explored the quietness of the area. Last night we were the only vehicle here. Absolutely Stunning location.

NICE spot, quiet and undisturbed, a few cars arrived for a short time to hang out i guess but didnt bother us at all

  • 4/5

Lovely park up with really nice views, short walk to Combe Gibbet. Stayed here 1 night with no issues, 1 other van parked up, but was busy in the day when we arrived. Quite steep to get to, but we managed fine in our citroen relay l4h2. only a couple of flat parking spaces, and surface is quite uneven in places.

  • 5/5

very nice and quiet. met a few locals and all very friendly.

  • 5/5

Really great spot with a lovely view

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. quiet and dark. no one else was there when we stayed, no signs saying anything about parking. felt very safe and sound

  • 5/5

Excellent little slot for an overnight stay, gorgeous views from very high vantage point, lovely dog walks and bridle paths, can be very windy if you like that but quite narrow roads to take a motorhome up, lucky for me I was driving quite late and no oncoming traffic....very peaceful new night and three other cars parked that left soon enough...(-:

  • 5/5

10/10 - just perfect. Very quiet, had the place to myself the first night, one other camper the second. Silent apart from nature! Car park used by the odd dog walker during the day, tonnes of space though. Mostly flat, partly gravelled. Absolutely no facilities or signs. Strong 4g and 3g internet. Stunning views and great walks. The summit of SE England's tallest hill is a ten minute walk.

  • 5/5

Lots of big potholes but plenty of space to avoid them. Two cars there when I arrived despite it being an hour after sunset, but they soon left. Great views.

  • 5/5

    Very nice and calm place.
