Sunday night stay on our way to Scotland, amazing spot, dead quiet no passing people or cars during our stay, it's down a slightly bumpy track at the entrance to a forest walk so enough space for a few if needed. Slight breeze rolling over the hills in the morning but it's mid October so can't have it all! oh and signal good so we can keep an eye on weather to route plan! fabulous 5*

Stayed here on a Friday night, space for 3 vans to pitch next to each other, about the size of 3 car parking spaces at a supermarket. Also space for a couple of vans next to the fence parallel parked. Follow the track for a lovely walk and then onto a trail made by the forestry commission. Amazing views, very quiet, LOTS of birds - Barn owl, Buzzard, Sparrow Hawk, coal tit, long tailed tits.

Absolutely fantastic park-up. Off the beaten track, but access easy. 3 vehicles here tonight but very quiet and amongst the scenery and nature. It was very windy and exposed, but didn't detract.

Super endroit, calme assuré ! Les biches curieuses pointent leurs oreilles de temps à autres dans notre direction. Petite cascade à 8 mn de marche.

  • 4/5

Our first stop using park4night. Tucked out of the way in the middle of nowhere. Seen deer and owls by 9pm. Bit of a bumpy road to it so will need good clearance in van/car. Excellent.

  • 3/5

Calm, view is ok. a lot of flies ! nice walk.

  • 5/5

Perfect, Peaceful and stunning scenery. Adjacent to woodland so no open fires orBBQs. short walk to the waterfall

  • 5/5

nice quiet place, no issues, lovely views

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot! Very uneven road down to it but very quiet. Was here for the night in 4x4 with RTT arrived around 21:30 until 08:00 only saw the farm around 23:00 other that only person here.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Arrived here late at night and woke up to a beautiful sunrise and gorgeous views. Had the place to ourselves too. Short walk to beautiful scaleber force waterfall.

  • 5/5

Awesome spot with some cracking views

Es steht ein Schild vor dem Weg wo es verboten wird mit Motorrädern und Autos ohne Erlaubnis lang zu fahren

As the other comments have said, bumpy road to get there but worth it. Gets busy quite quickly so get there as early as you can - some dog walkers come here too so make sure to park sensibly. Good phone signal with EE, no facilities but fairly level parking, room for maybe 3/4 campers. Lots of sheep around and a nice waterfall can be found if you walk back on yourself down the bumpy road. Make sure to please leave no trace behind, tidy up after yourselves :)

It's a very bumpy road to go down, but it is a very secluded spot next to the Forestry with amazing views. Owls nesting in the Forestry and a short walk back down the road to Scaleber Woods and waterfall, which is spectacular and very quiet. The views at sunrise and sunset were amazing. Very dark at night and quiet, but one car parked up around 11:30 pm with music on for a while and then left.

Take it slow when you get on the road - bumpy. If you want to feel isolated, then this is the place. Enough room for around four small Campervans but due to its location, I'll be surprised if you have any company. Great spot for going to the near by waterfall.

  • 4/5

Great view. Decent phone signal. It's 50mph winds though and the vans rocking like crazy due to the exposed location. We were going to go for a Xmas morning walk but we're going to head to a more sheltered location.

  • 5/5

Beautiful area, quiet but windy. Please keep this place tidy, it was a great night here!

  • 5/5

Lovle spot, in middle of nowhere, very quiet. little exposed to wind.

  • 5/5

It's so quiet here, had a lovely stay. 3mb download speed on Giffgaff (O2). Young pine forest next to parkup and great views of the setting sun. Can get flat, hard standing, space for 3/4 vans. Please don't litter and ruin this wonderful parkup for everyone! ♥

Beautiful view, isolated spot with just a few cyclists and walkers going past through the day. Stayed 2 nights & felt very safe. 02 & virgin phone signal good. Ideal base for cycling and walking around Malhamdale. Went in a Citroen Relay van which managed the bumpy, narrow roads. Done a litter pick before we left as there was a bit left by other people and we don’t want to jeopardise these lovely parking spots.

Stayed here 2 nights recently, excellent secluded spot, very quiet and felt safe. Rooms for 3 campervans and pretty level ground. Highly recommend this spot

  • 5/5

Gorgeous and quiet. There is space for three campers. Great vodaphone and 3 signal.

  • 4/5

Hard core standing down a rough track (wouldn't recommend for larger vehicles as road to it is very narrow too). One farm at the end of the track so small amount of vehicles passing but no problems. Probably space for 3 vans comfortably. Only negative was a timber wagon came by at 4am but otherwise a peaceful stop

Stayed on the August bank holiday Saturday and we were one of three vans, which I’d say is the limit on capacity. It’s a gravel parking area, for walkers I guess. Potholed approach, ok for our transit and small vans. Nice view, sunset, lots of stars at night. We had a peaceful night, well away from the road, no houses. Would recommend. Also, along both the approach roads, coming roughly from Malham direction, there are a few other good spots to stop, including a flat car park right on the top, with fab views, quite exposed though

  • 5/5

No services but good for a stop over. very quiet and isolated down a dirt track. should go without saying leave the area clean ! or loose it.

  • 4/5

Great spot for an overnight. Fairly narrow roads to approach but very quiet.

  • 5/5

This is a lovely spot with great views and great for walking for your dog. Unfortunately, the spot was ruined by some people who think it’s acceptable to leave human faeces, toilet roll, gas canisters and raw meat lying around.

  • 5/5

We were here last night lovely little spot. The road into the layby is a little rough n tumble but super isolated only disturbed by some walkers at 7am

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot, on a rough gravel path and not all level but a lovely quiet spot! Total silence last night, only woken at 7am by a dog walker!

  • 4/5

Here at the moment, great spot and the stars are shining.

  • 4/5

Not easy but possible with a large motorhome. Very quiet partly level parking a short way up a lane off the road. Great for exploring this part of the Dales. A tough bridleway goes to Malham Cove and Tarn or you can take the road via Kirkby Malham

  • 5/5

Very nice and quiet spot. The sheep in the next field were the only visitors apart from one guy walking the dog, the next morning. Steep and narrow drive leading there. Would stay here again.

  • 4/5

Endroit très calme au milieu des champs. Vous pouvez être réveillé de bonne heure par les agriculteurs qui travaillent mais c est mieux que les parking en bord de route. Accès par un chemin en gravillon peu large, ne convient pas aux grands camping car

  • 5/5

Great spot very quiet and remote, the road to get there is quiet steep and has plenty of pot holes but well worth the drive. Would stay again!! There is another spot 5 minutes from here that has great views and the cows roaming about but it’s next to a road the car park is not even and not really worth it!! Would totally recommend coming to this spot instead!!
