Banc parfaitement placé juste en bas de la colline pour une vue parfaite sur le monument de Wellington et la campagne environnante. Peut entendre l'autoroute et la route principale très proches mais pas occupées. Beau coucher de soleil.
Pull in just off the side of the road, good for dog walkers. Perfectly placed bench just down the hill a bit for a perfect view across Wellington monument and surrounding countryside. Can hear motorway and main road very close however not busy. Lovely sunset.
Halten Sie direkt am Straßenrand an, gut für Hundeausführer. Perfekt platzierte Bank etwas den Hügel hinunter für einen perfekten Blick über das Wellington-Denkmal und die umliegende Landschaft. Kann Autobahn und Hauptstraße ganz in der Nähe hören, aber nicht viel befahren. Schöner Sonnenuntergang.

Saw this place en-route to elsewhere. Couple of days later needed somewhere to park up and thought of this place. Travelled 30 minutes to get there. Great quiet place. Out the way, great views, dog bin. Wooded area but next to a B-Road so not too remote. No parking restrictions nor height limits.
A small carpark in the woods, leading to beautiful walks in the forest. It's has a National Trust sign, but no mentions of overnight. Still, their website says no overnight in all their sites. We spent a lovely afternoon here and found oyster mushrooms for tea.
Made an unplanned stop here when I needed a break driving south. Handy to the M5 but nice & rural with beaut views too. We arrived late (2am) & there was one other van staying, there were some teenagers but they left when we arrived :) a good night sleep.
I live just down the hill but I enjoy staying up here if I need a night out. Not had any issues with the noise and the local kids understand that people stay here so don’t generally hang out all night. Traffic goes quiet over night and as said before all the dog walkers are very friendly. Great views and the monument is only up the road
Aw tidy spot which can be busy during the day. There is a view but it's slightly blocked by trees. There is some road noise by traffic on the main road and it's slightly uneven. When I stayed there kids in cars just parked up up until the middle of the night taking photos so I decided to move on.
Lovely views & quite a few spots. I was there from 7pm and around then several cars arrived & the passengers just stayed in the car or hung around the car park so I think it might be a dogging place?! Quite uncomfortable and I did consider moving on but by 8pm they all drove off together so probably moved on elsewhere. After then it was very quiet and dog walkers in the morning were friendly.
Perfekt für eine Nacht, scheint aber ein Treffpunkt zu sein. Abends kam eine große Gruppe Erwachsener, die bis spät nachts Musik gehört haben und sich unterhielten. Lautstärke hielt sich aber im Rahmen. Wir würden wiederkommen.
we were one of three vans parked overnight. peaceful despite the wind and rain. Mostly sloping and we used levelling blocks one side. Good TV and phone signal. main drawback was some dog litter left despite a bin for it on site. we cleared some. would use again

Good place for a single night stop over. No restrictions, pleasant views road can be busy at times but quieten’s down overnight.
Beautiful views, nice walks for the dogs with old boundary line trees making for a very interesting woodland walk. Some loud teenagers in their cars but left before midnight. Shared with one other camper. No height restrictions, pretty level ground, will visit again.
Nice spot with a gorgeous view, stayed the night with a few other vans. A couple of smokers in cars but nothing late so had a quiet night sleep.
Great place to stop for the day, I live local and come here for walks all the time. Didn’t stay over but stopped to make lunch and enjoy the wonderful views over the valley... even in the winter it’s just amazing! 10/12/2020
Great stop with views toward the west. Only a couple of level places so you may have to wait until people in cars leave. Check the weather because if it’s windy it will blow! ?
Excellent little stopover. Clean, tidy and off the road. Lovely walks in forest. Nice views too. Spent one night here and was not bothered. No road noise.
Awesome little spot. Didn't camp here but will definitely come back again to stay the night! Pros: outstanding views, lovely bench with amazing view positioned a little way down the hill, a 30 sec walk. Awesome sunset. Good place for dog walkers. Cons: motorway noise (even though not very close to it), noise from the main road that it is close too however this isn't very busy once it gets to 2130 ish.
Nuit mouvementée : beaucoup d'aller et venues de voitures tuning qui se posent 1h ou 2, moteur et musique allumés jusqu'à très tard. Pas mal de passage sur la route qui passe juste derrière, les voitures roulent vite et ça surprend. il faut avoir le sommeil profond. dommage car la vue est magnifique. on a très mal dormi...
Lovely spot for an overnight stay. Beautiful view across the valley. Great place for dog owners.
Had a terrible time here teenagers in cars making noice till the the early hours and a local farmer knocking on the door at 5am to ask us to leave. Do not recommend.
Great spot and views ! Friendly dog walkers around in daytime, a few youngsters having a smoke in their car with loud music until 10 so it was fine.
Nice views, arrived at around 5pm so it was dark but could see the lights of the town. There were lots of cars coming and going until about 10pm, seemed a bit dodgy but we stayed in and they didn’t bother us.
