Parked for a few hours in the day. Gets very busy with walkers, but also didn’t spend the night.

The road is closed to all traffic at the moment due to road damage by some heavy vehicles (heavier than cars, so work that one out!). Due to be repaired late 2012.

Had a chat with one of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust wardens. This year they have had high numbers of motorhomes staying, up to 17 on one occasion, hence the signs. This will keep happening unless we exercise some sort of self restraint by moving on when there are too many vans already parked up.

Lots of very large ‘No Overnight Parking’ signs everywhere now unfortunately. Surely the signs are more of an eyesore than a few campers parked up?!

  • 3/5

Unfortunately big ugly signs now at every parking area saying no overnight parking. Thank Norfolk Wildlife Trust for that one.

Beautiful, we stayed the night with about 7 or 8 other campers, motorhomes etc. Quiet night, great park up

Lovely view, and a short 20 minute walk to the beach. Our stay wasn’t perfect though as a fisherman informed us that we had to move on and that “the police & wildlife trust are monitoring the area”. Also be very careful about the tides - we were very nearly caught out.

Says no camping but went on a Saturday, easy 30 vehicles, I think the sign may only apply to the small car park at the end. Stayed two nights and wasn’t bothered, lovely walks around. Pub just a short walk away, with great social distancing measures.

Great location but I wonder how long it will be before it becomes restricted. Quite a few cans overnight including a few parking in the car park marked with no camping. Also a caravan parked up running a generation for most the night! If you're fortunate not to get that kind of neighbour and the locals haven't got fed up with the numbers this is a great spot and a short walk to a stunning beach

The no overnight sign refers to a raised car park belonging to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, the lower area nearer to the moorings have no restrictions.

Apparently it s not allowed to stay overnight there is a sign.

Stunning place. Stayed in Oct 19. Was 9.2 (nine point two) metre tide and the end car park stayed dry but was cut off for a few hours. We were going to stay there but the water comes in really fast and we got scared and drove back up the track for 200 metres to a high spot. It's a shame we moved. A local said he'd always lived there and never seen end car park flooded. Saw luminescent algae too

    Great spot. Quite busy though.

Fantastic. arrived at high tide ( not a spring tide) and lots of places to park. it's a bit windy and the haliyards slap against the masts but that adds to the atmosphere. best stop found up here . highly reccomend

Lovely spot! One of very few places to wild camp on this coast- they’re a bit precious! Lovely views, and about a ten minute walk to the sand dunes and beach for a cheeky skinny dip!

Lunch spot for us. High tide but not a spring tide so no issues. View is amazing.

Love this place, came last year in summer, just a few vans, walkers etc. Million dollar views over the marshes and fantastic pub just down the road. May be tricky spring tides but was no where near when we were there. Loved it, we will definitely go back. The local pub also allows campers if having a meal. Just need to ask.

Beware, road and raised parking area floods on the monthly Spring tides every month, especially if the wind is in a Northerly direction. Check tides before taking any risk of parking here.
