Excellent spot, we parked up at a sheltered spot about a hundred meters past the terminal building, there is hard standing next to a stone building with a little grassed area and picnic bench outside. Toilets open all night and even hot water to the wash basins. The lights were working when we were there. Fantastic views, especially from the raised area where the mermaid statues are.
Old faithfull ferry port parking. nice views but ofcourse a little windy. toilets open all night but no light's on? no bin's. there is extra parking round the back of the ferry terminal
