Nice pitch with views of the sea. Spent much of the evening people watching as girls hopped between the various boy racers vehicles. Harmless fun for them as the town doesn’t seem to have much to offer them. Nice place to walk and also playground for young children.

Molt bon aparcament per passar la nit i donar un vol per la hora del mar

  • 2/5

Teenagers revving their cars until 23:30. They didn’t bother us at all but a little annoying. Rubbish left around the car park. Well lit and a great playground for kids next to it. Fine spot for overnight parking to catch the ferry early.

Large car park, free and very handy for town centre and car ferries , but a hangout for local teenagers at night. Harmless but noisy, so much revving of engines, slamming of car doors, cat calling etc until 12.30 pm, so not good for sleeping, but very quiet after that

Arrived 10pm to large car park right on the front. Loads of boy racers who left food/rubbish for gulls. Sure they’ll be heading home for bedtime stories soon. 2nd night here with 25 racers and van with company name L Fidler and sons. Haha!

Its flat and close to shops etc, plenty of room for parking. We stayed a few nights because our alternator broke, so had no choice while waiting for mechanics. Teenagers were a nightmare, knocking on our van when they walked past and running away, lots of boy racers in cars revving engines and driving unsafely.

Perfect place to park whilst waiting for the ferry nice some large with plenty of space. Parking is free and it is very close to town centre if you need to do any shopping.

Gut um rasch in die Stadt zu gelangen - Nachteil ist der Durchgangsverkehr ab 22 Uhr wird es ruhig -keine Ver- und Entsorgung

  • 1/5

Viele Jugendliche veranstalten Rennen. Soll ab 10pm ruhig sein. Aber der Terror bis 10 war sehr grenzwertig. Wir sind gefahren.

excellent location next to Agnew park. café and bins . central to bars and takeaways supermarket's. only downside it's a meeting place for the boy racers . they don't bother us but it may upset some campers

  • 4/5

Stopped for one night. Large car park which was fairly empty when we arrived. A few boy racers arrived, revving engines and beeping horns. Otherwise a quiet night. The park next door is lovely, with loads to do for kids and handy for dog walking. Public toilets at the park open during the day too.

once the local "inhabitants" left around 9 was nice peaceful night, they did of course leave plenty of rubbish for the seagulls to play with,

Town car park few metres from the marina and Agnew Playground. Lovely park with excellent facilities, miniature train rides and go kart hire. Toilets in park. Local corner shop and bakery over the road opposite the park both with great produce. Everyone cheery and friendly. Tesco, Morrisons and fuel station 2 mins away. Lots of movement of vehicles in the car park, but as to be expected.

Excellent parking both areas are free, some lovely clear waters of Loch Ryan to swim in. A small town with basic shops Tesco near the ferry terminal. Also a great park with miniature train and small cafe. An excellent lunch stop.

BAD EXPERIENCE: as soon as it was dark, 19:00hrs, groups of young teenage girls gathered, followed by older men in cars, peeping horns and shouting. This was followed by youths in suped up cars using the car park as a race track and skid pan. We had made the mistake of parking in the middle so became an island for these antics. All the while drug deals were taking place from one or two cars which kept coming into car park to meet up with ‘clients’. The police made.a couple of appearances; first time just drove round second time cars disappeared just before their arrival, must of been tipped off. Police obviously taking a blind eye to activities! We took the opportunity to move the van to the side, next to another motorhome. Quite from about 00:30hrs. WHY DIDN’T WE MOVE? Didn’t want them to believe their intimidation worked; didn’t know where to go! Stranraer is not just depressed, it’s fallen through the floor!

Nice spot. lorries were there overnight as well.

  • 4/5

Handy for town, short walk to local amenities including Tesco and Morrisons. Fuel at Morrisons. Laundrettes in town, both self-service and service washes. Adjacent car parks have ‘no overnight parking’ signs, although motorhomes did park there with no apparent consequences.
