Great car park with 4 large parking bays for motorhomes. Free parking 6pm to 8am and you can schedule your parking on the app to start at 8am if you know you won’t be out in time you don’t need to set an early alarm. Fairly quiet considering close proximity to road. Great 4G on EE. Toilet 20p contactless (working) or radar key (untested)

Nice spot, convenient for river walks and pretty town. Road a bit noisy. Parking machine hit and miss/confusing. Campervans can stay 24 hours for £7, max 3 days, or free between 6pm-8am. Normal day rates apply outside these hours. 4 MH bays, but were told to use any if full, when we phoned number on the board.
Nice spot in a lovely town! Prices have changed, it's only free for the first hour now. Still free from 6pm to 8am. Ticket machine not working so you have to use an app or call the number.
Staying here for the second time. It would be the perfect place if only I could work the ticket machine. Needless to say I didn't have the correct app, out of the six already on my phone. Handy for the town with all its pubs and restaurants and a pretty river walk.
Arrived about 4pm and room for large motorhome with room at back. lovely spot overlooking cricket ground £7 for 24 hrs and toilet was working pay by card 20p. Great spot by river and great food in pub. Good night sleep will be returning.
Park in the smallest of the two parking lots. No height restriction. £7 per night up to three days. Perfect to visit Abingdon, a nice market town on the Thames, and Oxford. The parking is located near the river just on the other side of a short bridge that takes you to old Abingdon. Easy bus to Oxford.
Great spot, quiet overnight, some traffic noise in the morning from the main road running past it. You need to pay a parking fee of £7 but only during the day. Free from 6pm till 8am. Spaces for motorhomes.
Now £7 for 24 hrs, handy place to park up but not very peaceful in the morning due to traffic. Abingdon is a lovely place to explore, especially the medieval ceiling in ST.Helen's Church.
Perfect Spot, 4 Dedicated motorhome spots, 3 nights max, couple of minutes walk into the town.
There are 4 wide motorhome spaces now and a toilet ( pay by card). We arrived at 13:30 on a Tuesday and there were 2 of the dedicated spaces left - much busier by 17:00 but everyone seemed to manage to park their vans ok. Absolutely brilliant value - lovely riverside walks and good bars and restaurants in town.

Nous nous sommes sur le parking aux camping-car. Depuis le début de notre road trip, c’est la 1ere fois que nous voyons un parking gratuit la nuit! (De 18h à 8h). Le lieu est sympa, la ville mignonne comme tout, la nuit vraiment calme mais bruyant dès 6h du matin avec le traffic et la proximité de la route. La vue est magnifique depuis le parc, sur la Tamise, avec des bancs pour en profiter!
Amazing place if you can get a space. Plenty when we stayed but I imagine it would be very busy in warmer months. Only 2 Motorhome spaces but plenty of other spaces for smaller vans or even LWB vans as car park is big. Great base to explore Abingdon with it’s restaurants, pubs, shops, history and walks/boating along the river. Maximum stay 3 days with free parking 6pm to 8am - £4.30 for the day.

Great to see local councils being forward thinking. Two dedicated motorhome spots allowing up to 3 nights. Lots of eateries and walks. Mesl at Broad Face was very good. Quite a bit of road noise P
Stayed 1 night, got there really late, loads of space. Toilets not in use though. Quite quiet due to traffic lights. Great dog walks too..
Free over night plus two hours free parking (obtain ticket for free parking from machine). Quiet overnight until 6:30am. Traffic lights on bridge have calmed passing traffic. Motorhomers are asked to phone parking dept at Whitehorse DC. They take your reg, name and number of nights. Maximum stay 3 nights. Easy to get bus into Oxford, or stay in Abingdon and enjoy the river.
Just spent 2 nights here, very handy spot right next to the village/town and right on the Thames with beautiful walks in both directions. Road is noisy though, if that would keep you awake at night or bother you in the day, it’s a busy road and motorbikes seem to put their foot down right outside the car park, obviously the speed limit changes! Overlooks a cricket ground if you’re into cricket.
Great little carpark £4.70 for 24 hours plenty of room for motorhomes most bays have room at the back for big motorhomes. Abingdon is a nice place to look round with lots of places to eat & drink, good walks next to the river.
This has become a regular stop for us, so close to the river, pubs and the town. We often park in car bays without problem. Note you can pay for parking hours in advance at the machine and it calculates your leaving time the next day inc free hours, so no need to get up at 8am to buy a ticket! £4.70 for 24 hours. The toilet is still out of order but there are toilets right by the door in the Nags Head! It still needs a big waste bin.
Great stop next to the Thames, parked here for one night and had a great night's sleep although the road is busy in the day. Free to park from 6pm till 8am, I shared the car park with 4 other motorhomes and their was loads of room for more. I stopped the side next to the cricket ground and with no height barrier. Would stop here again.
Next to the automated toilet side (out of order on our stop) there are two designated motorhome spots. It's a short walk into town with bars and restaurants, and Abingdon is quite a pretty town, worth a stop over.
A great overnight stop on our way south, a busy road in daytime,but is quiet thru the night. The carpark next to the toilet block has two dedicated motorhome bays, but there is plenty of space on the carpark. It could do with a couple of recycle bins, the one available was a small park bin which was overflowing. Thank you Abingdon for the free stop I will be sure to spend in town..
It’s not a canal, it’s the river Thames! There is an outdoor pool and excellent children’s play area towards town and turn right under the building, go past the cinema and walk down Abbey close. There are two big parks for playing in. The County hall and museum in the centre of town is free and interesting.
There is Toilet waste station up stream passed the lock keepers house. No vehicle access. Don’t attempt taking van up lane as the end is gated and no turning available. Also fresh water if you have a container on wheels or something like it.
Great place to stop close to the canal, walks and fantastic eateries( when they re-open). Enjoy.

About 25 spaces. Quiet little car park just off the road, after the bridge (coming from town centre). Bigger Long Stay car park on left hand side of road has a 2m height barrier. This car park, on right hand side, has no barrier and is next to a nice cricket pitch, and 50m walk from the canal. If you arrive after 6pm you can get a FREE ticket from the machine for 2 hours, which allows you to sty until 10am the next morning, rather than having to leave at 8am!
