Great spot right in the woods. Car park at the end of a farm track. Space for 15+ LWB vans. Gets busy with walkers in the morning & day time but was empty at night. Ranger came to see what we were up to & was happy with our fire pit & us staying over. Deffo go back in the summer

  • 5/5

Great location! Quiet night, great for seeing the stars. In the morning few cars turned up for dog walkers but no issues. Lovely area to explore and learn about the quarry.

  • 5/5

lovely quiet setting. Secluded and scenic on a rainy day. Some dog walkers and people in the morning but in the whole great setting.

  • 5/5

Fantastic area. Locals seem chilled about vans using the carpark. Can be a lot of dogwalkers but all those we encountered were friendly. And you must explore the quarrey woods, they are beautiful!

  • 5/5

spent quiet night here lots of dog walkers and plenty of walking tracks

  • 5/5

Nice quiet spot in an area without too many park ups. Had dog and normal bins and a map of the area. plenty of options for walking the dog, all of which were a little muddy as to be expected at this time of year. Tv, mobile and internet signal all good. Easy to get level here. We weren't disturbed until 9.30 in the morning.

  • 5/5

Excellent quiet spot. Would come again. Woodland walks a nd great views.

  • 5/5

Arrived late at night, perfect little spot for peace and quiet. No disturbances through the night. Closest toilet facilities is an esso with toilets, other than that nothing near by. Would fully recommend to anyone!

  • 5/5

Lovely place to park up for a night or two. Great views, lovely and quiet and great connections to Shropshire and Wales. No facilities but it’s a big woods so, needs must! It was a bit loud with trucks in the morning though due to a nearby quarry.

  • 4/5

stayed here on a Friday night in August 2023. lovely peaceful spot.good walks in the woods and disused quarry. busy during the day with dog walker s. No facilities just a bin for your rubbish. No sighns forbidding overnight. Not yet anyway. 2 other vans also stayed.

  • 5/5

Arrivée vers 22h et départ vers midi, nous étions quelques vans mais la nuit était très tranquille. Parfait

  • 4/5

Few noisy folk about until midnight ish but we did stay on a Friday night. very much worth a visit for a the walking trails in the area.

  • 4/5

Good carpark, quiet other than the odd loud car but usually not late in the night, road to the carpark is a bit rough but no noise from the nearby roads.

  • 4/5

A lovely off the beaten track overnight. It has a tricky access road for larger vehicles, from the main road if you meet on coming vehicles. Otherwise a beautiful and peaceful overnight. Dogwalkers can arrive from 0530.

  • 4/5

Decent size car park about 4-6 motorhomes Nice views Seems to be not too popular Overnight parking seems to be permitted -Road to parking is rough and tight not long though -Drone restricted area (possibly airport is close)

  • 5/5

Nice big car park had a little trouble finding using the postcode so used no disturbance during the night.

  • 4/5

Lovely views and quite spacious. There were four other campers that stayed the same night we did, plenty of room for more. A car turned up around 2300, playing loud music but didn't stick around for long. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

stayed on the 28th May 2023. beautiful walks and scenic views. The map on the sign shows a pub, this is a lie. It used to be a pub but now an BnB. No facilities. Stayed in our Tentbox with the dog :)

  • 4/5

Great spot, out of the way (is super dark at night!). Some lush walks all around the woods. Some young people in cars came in evening & were playing music & chatting but all done by 10 & then it’s super quiet. Busy with dog walkers in day time. There is a bin (& dog poo one), no other facilities

  • 3/5

we stayed here on friday night, it was torture. some cars with people Screaming, speeding cars, loud music and they left a lot of garbage lying all over the place, really a shame of young people(but really typical behavior in the youngest people in the uk) we couldn't leave the place because we were too tired to drive.the place is nice, but think twice before you take this place as a choice

  • 5/5

Lovely place. Pretty large car park! Great for a walk around the quarry and forest. Bit noisy at night with cars meeting up and talking but they weren’t there long. Easy to access just drive past all the houses and it’s at the end of the road.

  • 4/5

Cool spot, great views and walks. Free, no height barrier, or restriction signs. Not sure how relaxed I'd be as a solo camper over night, a bit spooky when it's dark.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot but only use Long/Lat to find it. A little sloping but fine for most people. Quite busy until dark but quiet later WiFi and TV reception is good.

  • 4/5

    Das Gelände ist überall abschüssig.

  • 4/5

This is nice spot. We would stay here again. Had three other vans there when we arrived at 9:30pm. We were all well spaced out but we got a slightly wonky spot! One car pulled up in the evening and played music but not too loud and didn’t disturb us. Dog walkers start arriving around 8/9am so one to move on from early doors. Lovely walks for the dog. Litter bin and dog poo bin.

  • 5/5

Schön um Wald gelegen und ruhig. Lädt zudem zu einigen Spaziergängen / Wanderungen in die sehr schöne Umgebung ein.

  • 3/5

Nice stop off point, I wouldn't stay overnight though

  • 5/5

Stayed here 16/04/2022 lovely & peaceful. 3 parked up for night & undisturbed until dog walkers started arriving about 8am. Lovely walks & views. Only a bin as has been previously mentioned.

  • 2/5

Pretty place and I'm sure it's lovely midweek but came Friday night and youngsters in cars doing doughnuts around! Obviously a teen hangout so now have to find somewhere else to go

  • 5/5

Very peaceful spot, we had it all to ourselves after about 7 pm.

  • 5/5

    Peaceful, lovely spot

  • 5/5

We stayed on a Wednesday, overnight. It was lovely and quiet, one other van. 4G Vodafone signal. Lovely walks and views as on top of hill. There is a small bin but no other facilities. Can be busy with dog walkers.

  • 5/5

lovely quiet place with stunning scenery. one car arrived after 2200. they didn't disturb me... and I didn't disturb them!

  • 5/5

Perfect park up. Great walks in the area. Large flat car park. Signal on three and EE ok. One bin. Quiet at night time. Single track road to get there. Gets a bit busy during the day with dog walkers.

  • 5/5

An Excellent park up for Autumn walks around and through the curvy paths today. My evening and sleep last night was excellent only to be woken up by a loud woman cackling on her phone whilst dog walking at 6.15am. I shared the carpark with another camper. I would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Good park up, had a lovely walk in the woods. Some people arrived late at night around 10pm, chatting for a while but left not long after. Otherwise mostly quiet. Popular with walkers and cyclists from morning to evening. Ended up parked next to a damson tree which was in season and fruiting

  • 5/5

What 3 words to get you here as it does not take you to the car park. Wonderful view and walks. Stayed overnight no problem. quantity. unclaimed. pods type it in!

  • 4/5

Nice spot. Very quiet with lovely wooded footpaths. We had a few youths in hot hatches having a smoke and playing drum & base for a few hours quite late on but apart from that, a peaceful overnight stay.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop over. Plenty of space for campers and full mohos. Rubbish bin and dog poo bin. 1-2 bars of signal on Three network. Flat so no need to level up. Some teenage groups in cars came and went throughout the evening but kept to themselves and were not loud or disruptive. Dog walkers and cyclists arrived in the morning but again were quiet. Would absolutely stay again.

  • 4/5

Lovely quite place. Saw a few walkers and cyclist, all quiet after dark. One other van the night we stayed.

  • 5/5

Busy in the day but quiet a couple of hours after sunset. Would stay again

  • 3/5

Stayed during school holidays and it was extremely busy in the day. It quietened down by 4/5pm. A few cars coming and going until 11pm playing music but didn’t trouble us. Night was quiet until the first dog walkers arrived.

  • 5/5

Great views and very quiet location. There were two other camper vans parked up. We stayed for two nights and will return....

Lovely stopover wth great walks through the woods. No disturbance at night. we arrived 9.30pm, one car on the car park which left shortly after. No dog walkers arrived before 8am. very peaceful. important note. someone else mentioned difficult to find. it was off the postcode, ended up just googling corbet woods car park and it took us straight there.

  • 5/5
