Leverkusen, Marienburger Straße

Großer Parkplatz, der für Übernachtungen aber eher weniger geeignet ist. Die Autobahn darüber hört man nicht, dafür aber die Züge an der angrenzenden Bahnstrecke. Nachts ist das auch ein Treffpunkt für junge Leute, die gern auch mal die Reifen quietschen lassen. Bei Übernachtungen also lieber etwas weiter weg von der Bahnstrecke parken.

We parked here all day and rode our bikes 800 metres to the train station where we paid 4€ each to catch the train to Cologne central (15mins). Quiet at night from highway noise but quite a few cars around Friday night in the car park. No breeze under the bridge so we moved on.

Massive normal carpark at the Bayer Leverkusen soccer stadium under the A1 motorway. On match days it may be full. When we were there there was plenty of places to choose from. We spent a quite night. You can hear the traffic on the A1 but it's not loud and a bit hypnotic. There are no services except a couple of local bins. The closest services is Meier Camping and Caravanning shop but there is no grey waste drain. Also many walks and the Neuland Park on the way to the Rhine is fantastic.
