This spot is an irresponsible choice for motorhomers and campervanners...and inconsiderate to the residents who live on the route up to it. Spots like this are what give motorhomers and campers a bad name. The 2.5 mile route from Hay-on-Wye has multiple high-hedge enclosed sections barely navigable by motorhome...with very few passing places. It must surely test the patience of residents.

Superbe ! Une vue extraordinaire avec des moutons et des chevaux sauvages ! Attention la route d’accès n’est pas large mais c’était splendide.

Probably a really nice place when the weather is good, but I had to pack up at 3am and go elsewhere because the wind and rain was so loud. Very exposed.. Poor signal on Vodafone

Absolutely stunning location! Ice cream van on site during holiday seasons. Some very tight road access for coach built motorhome on the access road (ours is 2.35m wide and we touched both hedges a couple of times!) but loads of space up top. Very clear no overnight camping signs at car park. National Park Wardens visit regularly to check. We were there yesterday (18/7/21) when one turned up.

Beautiful place however, No overnight camping signs everywhere.

Really beautiful setting so far so good

If the weather is not with you, there isn’t much to see, some places downhill looked better as there are less clouds. The road to come allow only one car at a time with very low visibility, but it is quiet and all the way concrete, no muddy path. We enjoyed the absolute quietness but sadly had much fog to see anything. EDIT: wild horses came by, made our day!

A great place to stop - we had the benefit of great weather but it was very windy. We saw others camping but there was so much space , we didn’t need to be next to them. Wild horses were an early morning treat !

Fabulous view and access to Offa’s Dyke. Approach from Hay is tight for large Motorhome but doable. Be cautious using Google maps with postcode and avoid right turn before bend as this is a dead end, go straight up the hill and you will be rewarded with stunning views. Be cautious of parking on grass after heavy rain but in the dry it is fine. There is a small car park with hard standing further on right. Highly recommended

Amazing views and a beautiful sunset. Ample space to park for the night on the common, very spacious even when other campers present. Perfect access to Offa’s Dyke and other mountain walks!

Lots of different places to park up for the night along both sides of the road on the grass. Easy to find a flat’ish place to park. The views are incredible! Good 4G. Surrounded by sheep and horses! Highly recommended.

Lovely sunset. Large grassy area to camp.

Bad luck with the weather, but amazing place, stayed 2nights. Road to come is dangerous.

Great spot. Plenty of people were camping there when we were. In tents and vans. Wild horses and sheep everywhere. Lovely quiet night.

Great spot. No facilities but it's relatively flat. It's quite exposed so it can be windy. There seems to be no problem staying as we saw the farmer a number of times. There are wild horses and sheep around too.

Excelente vista y noche tranquila.
