Very convenient for Dartmouth and castle, eg. SW coast path - just follow the Silver Jubilee Way (obscure, overgrown old signpost on road). Very quiet apart from seagulls from 5am! Not the most pretty immediate countryside, as the council has allowed Jawbones Beacon Park to become overgrown and neglected and the local garage now use 80% of available car parking spaces. Rare find in S. Hams.
We stayed overnight here. Had a peaceful nights sleep. The car park is quite big, the mechanics next to the car park use it to store vehicles, so it was almost full all night. Quite a lot of noise in the morning which wasn’t an issue for us. Really good 3G/4G signal on EE & o2 (looks like there’s a mast next to the car park?). Fairly level.
Seems like a good spot but there are now a few caravans here that look a bit dodgy didn’t feel safe staying
Single track with passing places. Arrived late afternoon, plenty of parking available right next to dog walking park with viewpoints. Only one other moho parked here, had a very quiet night. There is a track which is about a 20 min walk into Dartmouth but it is very steep so allow more time for walking back up, take water! No facilities.
Parfait, grand parking et très calme. Proche du château
