stayed here twice now, both nights good sleep, gets empty and quiet late, good spacious car park with no restrictions, other campers stay here often.
Parking gratuit pour l'abbaye de Kirkstall. Aucun panneau n'indique de limitation de durée de stationnement ni d'interdiction de nuit, ni de barrière ni de limite de taille. Un parc et une aire de jeux sont situés à côté du parking, ce qui permet aux promeneurs de chiens de venir tôt le matin. De belles promenades sont possibles autour de l'abbaye et le long de la rivière. Un arrêt de bus pour le centre-ville de Leeds est à 2 minutes à pied. Les bus circulent de très tôt le matin jusqu'à très tard (vers 23h/minuit ?).
Free car park for Kirkstall Abbey. No signs stating limitations on duration of parking or forbidding overnight, also no barrier or height restrictions. There is a park and playground next to the car park so there can be dog walkers early on. Nice walks around the Abbey and alongside the river. Bus stop 2 minute walk away for Leeds city centre that run from very early until quite late (around 11pm/midnight?)
Kostenloser Parkplatz für Kirkstall Abbey. Es gibt keine Schilder mit Parkdauerbeschränkungen oder Übernachtungsverboten, auch keine Schranken oder Höhenbeschränkungen. Neben dem Parkplatz gibt es einen Park und einen Spielplatz, sodass Hundebesitzer schon früh dort sein können. Schöne Spaziergänge rund um die Abtei und entlang des Flusses. Eine Bushaltestelle ins Stadtzentrum von Leeds ist nur zwei Gehminuten entfernt und fährt von früh bis spät (ca. 23 Uhr/Mitternacht?).
Aparcamiento gratuito para la Abadía de Kirkstall. No hay señales que indiquen límites de tiempo de estacionamiento ni prohíban pernoctar, ni barreras ni restricciones de altura. Hay un parque y un área de juegos infantiles junto al aparcamiento, así que se puede pasear a los perros desde temprano. Agradables paseos por la Abadía y junto al río. Parada de autobús a 2 minutos a pie que lleva al centro de Leeds, con servicio desde muy temprano hasta bastante tarde (¿sobre las 23:00/medianoche?).

joseriosalh19/08/2025Parking muy amplio máximo 6 metros de longitud por el tamaño de las plazas.Recomendable si llegas a última hora ya que te lo encontrarás vacío. Durante el día está lleno. Al lado de la abadía , visita obligada de la ciudad, por lo que un sitio que verás fácil. Parada de bus a escasos metros y un museo con cafetería y baño al lado. Le pongo 4/5 debido a que se encuentra a 1 hora andando de la ciuda
turdyytree31/07/2025Decent stopover spot. We’ve stayed here a few times, no issues on our first visit. One morning, community officers did knock on a few RVs (mainly foreign-plated) asking their stay length, but they didn’t bother us (UK-plated van). On another visit, it was much busier with some people sitting in cars, talking loudly late into the night. Experiences vary, but it’s generally fine for a quick stay.

Stayed overnight after visiting the Abbey. Lovely parkland to the side and over the road by the Abbey. Morrisons was within walking distance, car park was flat with no barriers and no restrictions. Lots of other shops nearby at the retail park. Very quiet after midnight, started getting busy again from 7am. Plenty of bins around but no toilets.
embee6628/06/2025what a beautiful place! so spacious and green! we spent a day and night here, biking to the city and exploring the abbey on the other side of the road. where alone in the night. very quiet.
valleycamper14/05/2025Stayed here for 1 night in April 2025 with no issues. It was very quiet aside from the odd car late on and dog walkers in the morning. Nothing glamorous but a handy spot for Leeds which is otherwise pretty limited. Used the bus early morning into Leeds but note it doesn’t run all through the night if you need to return to the spot post-midnight
