There are toilets here, they close at night though. Across the road there is a Morrisons and a chippy (3 times a week open ! ) all within walking distance, right on the beach too.

A really nice spot to stay in , stayed here a few times now, never had any problems whatsoever.

  • 4/5

  • 3/5

We stayed for 1 night after arriving in folkestone. The views are nice, rocky beach and people coming & going. The toilets were very dirty and they do close at some point in the evening. Ok for a night but not really for any more. Also unsure if you can sit outside your camper or should stay inside. We stayed inside.

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

A nice quiet little car park with sea views. We just stayed the night and parking is free between 6pm-8am and then £1.80 per hour up to 6 hrs and then £10.80 for longer (June 2024), toilets closed around 21:30 and we're open by 08:00 but no sinks, just the automated hand washer, drier so having a wash and cleaning your teeth has to be done using your own facilities. A few friendly campers.

  • 4/5

Nuit calme avec d'autres camping cars. Toilettes fermées la nuit.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Such a lovely spot to spend the night. Amazing views - the beach was so much fun to explore. Very quiet night - there were a few other vans/motorhomes so it felt even more safe. Everyone was lovely and friendly. Wanted to stay longer cause it’s just such a nice spot to be.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Stopped for an overnight as I was pulled in due to the beautiful view. I was lucky enough to have one of the few spots that let me open the back doors directly onto the beach. As others have said amazing sunsets and miles of sand when the tide is out, but the toilet is very noisy although a fair trade off for the location.

  • 4/5

Great location close to a really good fish and chip shop. Toilet block is closed in the evening, but did open around 8am. Beach is great and super quiet. Better option than much busier car parks/roads in Camber.

  • 5/5

Lots of vans when we arrived, but was quiet, felt safe, toilets during day, bins etc. Free overnight and paid during the day. Access straight onto the beach. Staying on the favourites list for a 1 night sleepover.

  • 2/5

  • 2/5

Location is easy access with no height barrier . It’s direct access to the beach with a daytime -early evening toilet facility & bin . Like other users have said the ventilation system from the toilet block /southern water treatment bit is loud & goes on /off through the night . I couldn’t sleep with it and then the road gets busy early . If you sleep log like it’s fine.

  • 5/5

Great quiet park up which is free 6pm-8am. amazing morning views of the beach.

  • 5/5

Really good park up, near the beach and with toilets for free(closed between midnight and 8am). Yes the the toilet ventilation fan is noisy but we stayed on the other side of the building and didn’t hear a thing.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

rustige overnachting met mooi uitzicht. Toiletten aanwezig.

  • 3/5

One hour parking is £1.60. Maximum 6hours. We didn’t stay long, because the wastewater pump house is very noisy, we couldn’t bear much.

  • 5/5

Nice flat parking next to the sea. £9.60 all day. Overnight for free. Toilets available but closed during the night.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Bit of an exposed vibe in keeping with the spirit of the place. More road noise than one might expect. Kitesurfers until dark, two MHs stayed. It's the one place to overnight along the beach here as far as I know.

  • 5/5

No height restrictions. toilets here, 8.30pm and not closed yet. free parking from 6pm to 8 am. would be fine for a night or 2 the pub right near the lighthouse is great for food and great service. about 10-15 spaces at this parking area.

  • 5/5

You can’t get any closer to the beach if you tried! A great park up right on the beach. Toilets are open, but unsure to tikes. Parking free are 18:00 and until 08:00. There’s a corner shop across the road, and don’t forget you can take a 20 min walk to the near by sound mirror.

  • 5/5

great place to park up for night. Good for the kitesurfing community.

  • 3/5

Noisy as industrial equipment running in the building. If you park in the quieter bays it’s close to the road and noisy. Toilets have been closed for months. Free to stay overnight though and a shop within 50 meters.

  • 4/5

Great place to spend the night. Road can be noisy at night with cars speeding up and down and fan runs all night. Toilets are out of order. Great location right on the beach and no height restriction.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot & free 6pm till 8:30am. Toilets still all out of order!? Lots of room, right on the beach.

  • 3/5

toilets still out of order. Spot however, was nice

  • 4/5

Really nice spot I recommend along the beach. Toilet are present but out of order when we went there. We moved our car to avoid the vent noise. But despite that a lovely spot on the beach

  • 5/5

Very nice spot near the sea. Free during the night. Public toilets next to the parking. Big bins to leave your rubbish. We were with some other campers, quiet during the night. Very windy in the morning. We would recommend this spot!

  • 4/5

Nice quiet spot only downfall was the noise of the fan that came from the building. It ran constantly throughout the night. Apart from that loads of spaces, clean toilets, walking distance to shops, chippy open Wed-Sun. Hard to moan for free.

  • 5/5

Excellent stop. superb views and a shop and chip shop, toilets all close by. met a few other van-stars and had the craic over some beers. Recommended!

  • 5/5

Stayed here on Saturday and would highly recommend!! Few kite surfers set up and stayed overnight also, quiet, peaceful and beautiful!! Toilets close around 8pm

  • 4/5

Loads of free parking. Nice and flat. Excellent views…

  • 5/5

Great place to stay for a night, car park is flat and the view is beautiful. A very interesting town to visit, something out of a film, The noise that comes on at intervals didn’t bother us, it’s a bit like an aircon hum. The residents are so welcoming one actually came over and gave us a goody bag of food. Definitely recommend.

  • 5/5

Nice place, if you stand in the front row there is a great sunrise in the morning. Instruction as noted. Was there last Saturday, some other campers on site, police in the evening as well, but everything was very relaxed.

  • 4/5

Arrived after 6pm. One other campervan here. Free parking from 6pm to 8am. Used the Ringgo app to pre book 2 hours for the following morning. Toilet block close by, attached to it is a building with a large fan in it which runs every 20 mins or so for about a minute. Could be an issue with some people but we found it not a problem. Pebble beach, sea is a very long way out.Felt safe and slept well

  • 5/5

Really quiet, right on the beachfront. It has toilets and bins. Really good spot and we paid for a few hours in the day, but barely anyone there.

  • 5/5

A small car park, with car-size spaces, but I doubt if a bit of an overhang would matter, certainly not in the quieter months. Charges 8am to 6pm. Shop nearby. Toilets clean but locked at night. Friendly locals. Paid for a few hours either side of the night, a thank-you. Try to find the sound mirrors, about 30 minutes return walk away.

  • 4/5

Nice spot. Free overnight and no signs. Parking fee from 8am but free on Dungerness estate.

  • 5/5

Nice and peaceful sleep. Friendly locals. Stayed overnight and paid for an hour parking in the morning so we could have a walk down the pebble beach. Access to toilets in the morning, not the nicest but does the job. Definitely would come again

  • 5/5

Just the job; on a week night in January we were here alone and had a very peaceful night. We paid for a few hours during the day- with hindsight we would have been better driving down to the little carpark pull ins beyond Prospect Cottage before you reach the Britania Inn - no overnighting there but ok during the day ( 6 m van) off season and then can come back here to sleep.

  • 4/5

Stayed last night. Quiet this time of year. Expect during season would be much busier/ noisier. Public toilets and a corner shop nearby as is a Fish and Chips shop. Next to beach yet stormy weather so did not venture out much. Dungeness National Reserve and particularly the Dungeness RSPB Centre worth visiting, about 10 minutes away. Natural and wild landscape, ideal for bird spotting and walks.

  • 4/5

Stayed 24 Oct, 6 m van. charges from 8am -6pm Toilets inc disabled, all locked from around 4pm until 7am bin nearby. road pretty busy from 6am -11pm, few cars through the night. You will hear road noise. we phone, internet and tv all good. McColls corner shop 1 min walk, fish and chip shop 2 min walk (not open every day) nice views, right on the beach. would use again.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night and is a great park up. 3 other camper vans there as well and was the best night sleep have had in my car for a long time. Super quiet location, road wasn’t busy at all and car park was quiet other than us 4 parked up. Shop round the corner and i think a chippy is super close too. Highly recommend. Is literally on the beach front :)

  • 4/5

Great little find. not very big and toilet were closed when we arrived at 6pm and open by 8am. I few kids in cars arrived but only to eat their chips then moved on. dog walkers and kite surfers arrived in the morning but not too early. All on all great for a one night pit stop.

  • 4/5

Good spot. Nothing fancy but does the job. Quiet and a decent video. Close to main road though. Recommended. -Choose plant-based foods -Leave NO trace

  • 4/5

Super location. Lovely for walking. Noisy road but didnt bother us too much.

  • 5/5

Super spot - favourite in Kent! Great views, other campers too. Handy toilets. Grocery store close very close by. A quiet yet super convenient spot. Loved it!

  • 5/5

We had a lovely stay over here last night. lovely clean, quiet spot. Great chippy and walk to the lakes to see the listening ears.

  • 4/5

Spent one night here free from 6pm - 8 am, 4 other motorhomes parked up with us, fantastic views of the sea/ coast to wake up to. Road quiet after 10pm, no Barrier was nice to see, and a toilet block not anything special does its job! would definitely use again.

  • 5/5

Great spot spent 2 nights there near the fish and chip shop and small shop busy car park with kitesurfers that's me ! Will be back soon.

  • 4/5

Right on the beach. Free after 6pm. No height restrictions. Didn't stay over but would have done.

  • 5/5

Went to chippy too, very nice. Toilets clean, nice beach. we stayed 2 nights as our tunnel crossing was cancelled. would recommend.

  • 5/5

Great carpark - really quiet and next to a beach. Free overnight parking after 6pm. Lots of spaces with no height restrictions or limits. Local fish and chip shop down the road which was great for tea!

  • 5/5

Toilets right on beach where you park. Bit windy as all open. Beach in front of us nice and sandy. Fish and chips and a mini mart just over the road as well. Pub just up the road. Parking charges are £1.20ph or £8 all day with free parking from 6pm until 8am. Nice quiet place few vans. Every now and then a few cars go by. Nice after visiting prospect cottage and the lighthouses. Lovely walks. Well worth visiting.*****

  • 4/5

Free 1800 - 0800. £8 maximum for all day. Parking must be "within marked spaces". Good fish and chip shop close by.

  • 5/5

Great views , good birdwatching . Lots of vans there . Fans went off so nice and quiet .

  • 5/5

I agree with all the other reviews, this is a great spot. had a peaceful night, parked so we could watch the sunrise from our bed!

  • 5/5

Great place to stop for night. Road a bit noisy with morning traffic but otherwise quiet. Loos are closed at night. A popular spot and recommended.

  • 5/5

Best stay ever. Literally on the beach, quiet as anything, had the car park to ourselves, toilets open every time I needed them. Beach is quiet enough as well to have a little fire/bbq without causing any problems. Highly recommend

  • 3/5

Sep 3rd 2020. Site has a water pumping station as part of the loos. So big fan going 24/7 but it just sounds like a windy day. Only us in a 9m and 4 dogs. Toilets ok. Facing east so amazing sunrise. Mini market 2 mins walk away. Quite and safe. Would use again. No height restrictions.

  • 5/5

Great little place, free toilet and nice overnight staying. Across the road there is also a minimarket.

  • 5/5

Great views, only three campers overnight including us. Free overnight parking from 6pm to 8am. Toilets available. Right on the beach, facing directly at the sea.

  • 4/5

The parking is free at night (6pm - 8am). Toilets aren’t so nice but the view is great.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot right on pebble seafront. Free from 6pm-8am, then daytime tariff applies. £8 for the day. Toilets open all evening. Police monitor which is good. Turn right out of car park and you can walk to dog friendly The Jolly Fisherman pub in half hour for lunch / drink. The beach at this end is sandy.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Good spot for free overnight. Convenient for channel crossings. Excellent chip shop (The Varne) just behind in nearby in Taylor Road. Continue up Taylor Road to visit the "sound mirrors" or "listening ears ".

  • 5/5

This is the only overnight stop on Dungerness. And it’s a great stop, very quiet and great view.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

This was an amazing spot. CHANGE IN INFO: From the 1st of July 2018 you have to pay to park there - something like £8. I forgot to take a picture but there’s a sign, and below it a notice explaining the change in price. Still very much worth it: it’s has toilets that are relatively clean, and I’m sure you can swim at the beach there. Sunsets are amazing, and the pebble beach has gorgeous protected plants. It’s a nature reserve. 30 mins to Folkestone ferry and we met a few other campervans there. We stayed two nights and bused into Folkestone to have a look around (public transport is great!)

  • 5/5

Very quiet spot for the night, about 30 mins drive to the channel tunnel. Free and toilets on site. Right by the beach!

  • 4/5

Quiet, safe and strangely picturesque. We stayed here on our first ever night free camping. There were no hassles and only 5 other campers scattered throughout the car park. The toilets were unlocked up until we went to sleep at 10:30pm but were locked at 5:30am when we woke to go to the Dover ferry. Overall, great stay, would stay again. Recommend a drive up through Dungeness too.

  • 3/5

À 1h de Douvres. Bon emplacement avant d'embarquer.

  • 4/5

Free parking, quiet toilets in car park ? residential road but little traffic

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Fantastic beach and quiet night / empty car park (January) with clean toilets.

  • 4/5

  • 3/5

Waren am 25.09.17 hier. Guter Platz. Toiletten nachts zu. Keine Ver-/Entsorgung. Kleiner Supermarkt und tolle "Fischbude" zwei Strassen im Hinterland.

  • 3/5

Good place with toilets Bit of noise caused by passing cars (40mph) Awesome view great sunrise, and sundown
