It was just a one night stopover. Friendly informative welcome. All the services well arranged. Very narrow gravel hardstandings which makes for muddy conditions when as wet as it was. Toilets and showers ok. Some of the showers I couldn't get to work. Great coastal walks. £29 2 adults
Stayed here on a Monday for one night. Site was not full. All the facilities were really clean. Apparently there was a games/TV room which we didn't know about until we were leaving. There were a few static homes and the demographic during our stay were retired travellers and young families. Great coastal walk, great view and a great nights sleep
Wir hatten einen Platz in erster Reihe, toller Ausblick, toller Campingplatz. Plätze sind schön groß. Sanitäranlagen sauber, richtig warmes Wasser! Ideal um zu wandern. Kann man sehr empfehlen. Gibt einen schönen Rundwanderweg (14 Kilometer) man direkt vom Campingplatz einsteigen und die Küste lang laufen.
prachtig gelegen. mooi uitzicht, grote plaatsen op goed onderhouden grasveld, prima schoon sanitair en toegang tot prachtig coastpath.
Fabulous location over looking Rough Island. The facilities were clean and as expected. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. You can access the coastal walk from the site and walk to Castle Point or towards the village. Would not hesitate to stop here again.
This site is all about the location - a stunning view and direct access to the coastal path with beautiful walks in either direction. We received a warm welcome and found the facilities good, in fact the showers were some of the best we’ve used on a campsite. I don’t generally choose sites with statics but we managed to get a front row pitch and our eyes were drawn only to the view in front!
Booked here based on other reviews. Was not left disappointed as this small site is an excellent location with everything we needed for our overnight stay in our motorhome. Great set up for filling up/emptying, clean toilet and shower facilities, free wi-fi (other sites take note), great views across the water and stoney beach is a short walk from the site but easily accessible. Definitely return

Nice little site, with clean facilities. we were in the top pitch, so unfortunately, there were no scenic views (just a hill and some cows), but a short walk down the coastal path was beautiful. busy little site but very quiet at night. would definetly use again
Sehr netter unkomplizierter Betreiber. Alle Plätze mit Stromanschluss. Wir hatten für 2 Nächte einen Platz mit toller Aussicht auf die Bucht. Sanitär sauber und wunderbar warme Dusche.
Nice place to stop. quite peaceful even though their were lots of other people. There are showers and wash facilities and of course dog friendly. We paid £34 for two adults and two dogs which we thought expensive. especially since we were just in a tent box.
Great site with wonderful views and just a short walk to the coast. Amenities spot on with piping hot water. Stayed 2 nights for 60 quid with EHU.

lovely quiet site with beautiful views. The man that met us was nice and friendly. The facilities are very clean and the water is piping hot. There are nice coastal walks. £27 for the night with ehu.
Nice campsite, very close to the rocky beach. Friendly staff. Can drop toilet and grey water and refill with water. Nice showers and toilets.
Great view, plenty of space between pitches. Toilet and showers clean and water hot. We were 2adults and 1 dog and paid £25 for 1 night. Friendly owner who was helpful. When we arrived reception was closed but we telephoned the number and we were met immediately. Would certainly recommend.
We visited in Sept 2023 and the price had increased to £29.50, but all the other amenities are as stated. If you’re looking for an EHU, and you get a motorhome hard standing pitch, then you’ll need a long electrical lead. Additionally when emptying the grey water, your parked on a slope, normally upwards so the tank may not drain effectively. Beautiful site, great view, peaceful & charming
Prachtige plek waar je op het gras staat. Douches zijn lekker ruim. Erg leuk is dat je zo naar het strand gaat en dat er een speeltuin bij zit. Komen graag terug.
A perfect place to start the tour. We came from Hull ferry and this was our first place. When you start with the west coast after the ferry it is petfect starting point. Beautiful view,very big showers,laundry,a library with books and DVDs,electric hook and everything else what you need to prepare the motorhome. The staff... greetings to Charles.. is very friendly. From here we drove through Galloway

Ein toller Platz, alles sauber und gepflegt und sehr ruhig....tolle Aussicht auf die Bucht, tolle Besitzer sehr nett!
Der Platz liegt sehr schön an einer Bucht und hat 3 Bereiche: flache Wiese unten, weniger ebene Stellplätze auf dem Hügel mit toller Aussicht oder mehr windgeschützt weiter hinten. Als klein würde ich den Platz allerdings nicht beschreiben. Im Moment stehen hier mindestens 50 Fahrzeuge. Die Duschen (3) sind ungewöhnlich geräumig. Die Anzahl an Toiletten ist etwas knapp bemessen (zB 3 für Herren).
Wunderschöner Camping mit sehr netten Betreibern. Man sieht Rehe, Hasen und es hat einen Camping-Dachs. Laut den Inhabern sieht man machmal auch Adler. In der Nähe gibt es kleine Cafés (30Min laufen) mit Kuchen und Essen. Die Duschen sind super! Bin zwei Mal eine Woche auf der Durchreise geblieben und werde wieder kommen. Zwei Plätze, oberer Teil für kleinere Mobile und Vans.
Nice campsite ruined by horrible staff, only stayed one night in the end as we were made to feel extremely unwelcome. Will NOT be rushing back!

Great campsite with glorious views over the estuary. Very friendly welcome. Easy coastal walk to Rockcliffe and Kippford (about 40 mins away). Has some of the best showers we've seen!

CASTLEPOINT CARAVAN AND CAMPING SITE an amazing view, clean showers and toilets, lovely costal walk to the beach but be ware of the rocks and sinking sand/mud however there is a nicer beach down the road. as well as toilets and showers there is a space to wash up, inside, and washing machines and tumble dryer.
