Credit to the folks who have created this Aire. It's very well situated for visiting the charming and Famous Blacksmith's Museum. But £16.49 for an overnight stay without electrics is simply...hmm? I really wish the folks well who run this place.

Fantastic spot , can’t say enough good things about it, yes there is trains passing didn’t bother me at all, parking bay 5 was excellent like the rest of them , will be back

Stayed here last week for the last day of our holiday and yes there are the trains but it is safe and there is water and you can get rid of your waste. The pitches are nice and flat

  • 3/5

Nice secure parking, with water and black waste disposal. Problem was the train noise at least every one and half hours. Even during the night.

  • 5/5

Great Aire the five bays are individually sectioned off. There is water on each level and on each pitch, rubbish and the black waste are at opposite pitch five which is at the top obviously being on a track side location it can be noisy but we found that we had a good night sleep. The trains come through about every 30 minutes in a busy time but after 9 o’clock at night, very few come through.

  • 5/5

nice, clean, private site with plenty of space especially the top 2 pitches. pitch 5 also has a view over to the English countryside over the train track. little noise from the tracks but quiet through the night. short walk to a pub and Gretna green. will happily use again.

Great Aire as a stopover to Scotland. Our pitch was spacious and level. Access is down a very steep slope, which made us worry about getting back up - but it was fine. 10 min walk to the Blacksmith's shop and museum. Close to the railway, but it didn't disturb us.

What a brilliant find. Travelling late on a Friday a pitch was held for us. Super easy and convenient for a stop on the way up to the Highlands. Thank you Derick.

Brilliant wee place, very friendly owner. £15 for the night with sevices included, can't argue with that. Loads of space on each pitch. A few trains passed but it was actually not that much of a bother. Took advantage of the honesty box for jam, honey and cakes. delish. We loved the park 5 minutes up the road. All enclosed and huuuge!! Perfect for a travelling doggie. Many thanks to owner .

Stayed for 2 nights, quiet spot only room for 5 vans. Perimeter fence secure enough to let my dog out off the lead. Trains passing approx every hour until about 10pm, but otherwise peaceful. Facilities to dispose of toilet waist and fresh water available. Will definitely stay again when we venture to the west coast.

Great site for a stop on the way north. It’s very close to the motorway so there’s background road noise plus the obvious sound of occasional trains.

  • 5/5

Great place for staying for a night. Very clean, access to clean water, change toilets, grey water. We’ve had our bbq with us and was able to use it. Owner is super friendly. Stayed on Tuesday night and trains were quiet often even during a night. But this didn’t bother us too much. Bay 5 is the best as the view is very nice. Thank you for the owners!

Great little spot, homemade cakes and other bits, fresh eggs too, amazing level pitches! Stopped here on way back from our honeymoon, as a break from a long travel from Loch Ness. We usually park for free when in our campervan, but to be honest £15 can’t complain. Cash or card accepted here.

Nice little spot on the border. Ideal for a secure park up on the way through. Level pitches and plenty of space.

  • 5/5

Great little site. Was met by the owner who was very helpful. all the facilities in excellent condition. Noise from passing trains but will visit again. also dogwalking paths and pub nearby.

Geht gar nicht, andauernd schnelle Züge direkt nebenan, dadurch sehr sehr laut

  • 5/5

Stopped over for 1 night lovely place clean and lots of space. Has grey waste, drinking water and chemical toilet disposal £15 a night and we will be back

  • 5/5

Travelling north and just wanted a nice quiet spot off the M6, this is perfect. We had no trains, and no neighbours. The kids enjoyed running off some steam is a safe park up.

  • 5/5

great little Aire, the price is £15.00 per night. very friendly with chemical waste, grey waste and water at each bay. trains until 10pm(ISH), thank you

  • 4/5

Easy access in ,clear road to pitches , esp when travelling at night , clean pitches with water .Liked the location on the Scottish boarder .Only negative the trainline next to site, trains were active all night, but they do pass quickly so not a problem .honesty tin to put cash in . They have a cake shed , no cakes over Xmas as expected but that’s a little win at other times of year if your staying

  • 4/5

Stayed here one night passing through from our road trip to Scotland. Secure overnight parking with 5 individual gravel bays with own water tap. Toilet cassette emptying point, drain to empty grey waste and bin. The only negative point is that the site is next to a Train line, however the last train last night was 21:30 and this morning first train was 09:30, Sunday. Highly recommended.
