Don't be put off by the proximity to the power station, this is a really great spot! Feels very safe with the plant nearby, their security presence deters anti-social behaviour. Good walk along to the castle, fantastic views out to sea. Two vans here when we stayed, lots of friendly dog walkers in the morning.
Endroit sympa, pas touristique. Calme et paisible avec une vue sur l'île d'Arran entre autre. Superbes couleurs. pêche à la ligne possible, maquereaux et lieus.
Brilliant spot for a quite night. only concern is distance from nearest shop or supermarket. I know I should be fully stocked, but sometimes I drink to much.
Ideal little spot with a great view. Ideal spot to walk dogs & exercise legs & do a spot of fishing. Peaceful overnight. Used by dog walkers. No facilities so keep it clean.
Great spot next to the sea, plenty of space and quiet at night. Somewhere to walk the dogs towards the castle.
Great place to stop. Lovely and quiet. one other car camper then some dog walkers. Police drove round car park just to check all ok. Highly recommend
Great spot with beautiful views of Arran! We were hesitant with it being near a power plant, but it turned out to be a lovely spot in a really level car park with a trail near by. There were a few other campers there and some locals going in and out to walk their dogs, but not too much traffic. Follow the road to the very end!
Excellent place to stay quiet and flat ground great views.
Drive right to the end of the road to get to parking. Good spot, looking out at Arran. Portencross Castle visible along the coast and worth a walk. Walkers and fishermen use car park but pretty quiet. No services.
