Great car park free on Sundays on Monday you get an extra hour free so we could depart at 10am and it’s a short walk into the high street. We had two doggies with us and the walks are floodlit on the fields and walk ways in these early dark nights. Plenty of bins for out rubbish. please don’t let the building of the first car park put you off we parked at the end near the payment machine.
schöner Platz, sehr ruhig vor allem in den Ferien. Aber Achtung: bleibt auf den Parkplatz Markierung, nicht quer parken, ansonsten 50GBP Strafe jedoch wenn ihr sofort zahlt nur 25GBP.
Stayed here several nights while visiting family and friends. Really quiet during the day and night. Free overnight, reasonable price during the day. Easy walk to the city centre and Cathedral. Highly recommended

ideal overnight park up. A great place for walking into town.
Tagsüber und nachts ganz ruhig, zwischen 2 Parks , Sackgasse,bei schönem Wetter parken abends Fußballer und Sportler hier, fahren aber spätestens um 10 weg . Wirklich ein guter Übernachtungsplatz für autarke Camper, kein WC.

Lovely quiet spot in the overflow car park. Free overnight and on Sundays/bank holidays. Well lit and safe. A couple of other campers here. Short walk to city centre shops and very close to excellent local pubs the King Alfred (food and drink) and Hyde Tavern (mostly ale).

Stayed Thursday night in August. Only ones here and hardly any cars. Very quiet night and right next to the park - perfect for the dog. Easy walk into town. Recommended.
Wij hebben lekker geslapen en de hondjes konden uitgelaten spelen op het gigantische grasveld vlakbij. Op 750 m van het centrum, meer dan een bezoekje waard (vergeet zeker de kathedraal niet om een bezoek te brengen)
