A quiet and secluded spot. Very flat. Exactly what it says on the tin. We spent a quiet night here as neither of the two spaces at Tarbet quay (nor any other in the Loch Lomond region) were available online. (We are only just figuring out the camp permit system) We stayed in Tarbet all day and then moved the half mile late afternoon. One other van here but no other cars.
Quiet and large parking spot. £10 for a night which is perhaps a bit expensive just for a parking space but much better value than nearby campsites. There is also a nearby campervan service station in Tarbet (within the cruise terminal) where you can get water and empty waste.
Fast leicht zu übersehende Einfahrt zum kleinen Stellplatz, der etwas erhöht und ab der Strasse liegt. Die £10 können bequem per App gezahlt werden. Wir hatten eine super ruhige Nacht. Nur dann das Erwachen: (nicht übertrieben) hunderte Minimücken waren durch das Moskitonetz ins Bad gekommen und draussen wimmelte es nur so. Ansonsten top für eine ruhige Übernachtung am Loch Lomond
First of all finding the way-in for this area was so hard as it is so well hidden. And making a turn on the narrow road running around the loch is a real challenge. Eventually when we stopped on the parking place we where alone. No we where not. Enormous quantities of mitches where swirling around lurking at us through the windshield. So we slipped away.
Schöne Aussicht und freundliche Mitarbeiter in der Parkverwaltung. Aber sehr, sehr laut wegen des Schwerverkehrs auf der nahen Strasse auch in der Nacht. Außerdem hohe Frequentierung wg. der Buse neben dem Stellplatz an.
No services but in a car park with a lovely circular walk through the forest with views over the lake. £10 payable by Ringo. Road was much noisy overnight than I had anticipated. Not sure it’s worth £10. Maybe if it was £5 more people would pay….who knows! Can use service point up the road at Tarbet.
Nice peaceful spot in the woods, with some little paths for a short walk. £10 and limited to two vehicles overnight (although physically much more space than that, so not crowded at all!).
Fort cher pour l endroit sans vue sur le loch. Plein de midges. Mais on a pas trouvé facilement un endroit et il a l avantage de pouvoir accueillir un camping car de 7 m.
Nice overnight parking, away from the main road. Some noise from the road can be heard. Current price £10 per night from 6pm to 10am. Only 2 spaces available for the night.
Unfortunately the car park is closed due to some falling trees. I have however met some forest rangers who said it will be reopened soon. They were very kind and helpful and helped me to find another location
Nice little park up for an overnight stop, very little noise from the road at night and nice little walk through the forest. Still a few midges about in September to watch out for.
Einfahrt ist etwas versteckt - dadurch ist der Platz nicht überlaufen :) auf einem Schild steht genau was erlaubt ist - 7 Pfund finde ich okay - keine Einrichtungen/Bänke etc.. ausgewiesen ist der Platz für maximal 2 Camper. Straßenlärm vorhanden
Nice spot with a small walk around the woods and great views from down by the loch across the road. Little bit of road noise but not too much of a problem. Saw a couple of local dog walkers use the car park whilst we were there and forestry workers were present in the morning but otherwise weren’t bothered by anyone.
