large flat car park at the side and rear of a the pub. The food was good, the beer selection was good, the staff are good,the carpark and surrounding areas are quite and rural. Very easy access to and from the M5 . perfecto

a great stopover. plenty of space very close to junction 7 on M5. Great efficient service for food and drink. cannot fault it at all. will use again when travelling up/down M5/M6

Absolutely fabulous, great big car park easily accommodating our just over 7m motorhome.. great food, excellent service and very good prices. Literally could not finish it all and we had the lite bite.. thank you to the The Retreat Inn …

Fabulous pub- we got delayed in traffic so sadly missed the food but had a few drinks and a lovely chat with Wendy. Highly recommend and we will be back!!

We were on our way back home from Plymouth and stopped over here half way up. Lovely friendly service and well priced tasty food. No charge but please have a meal or drink. Excellent £10 small plate menu. It is a pub car park but it’s large and flat and it was very quiet overnight A We felt very safe. Very easy access from junction 7. Thank you.
brownst5camper08/10/2024We arrived at 9pm on Friday night to find the place closed. It looked an uninviting place to spend any time; however the car park was big and flat so we slept anyway. So if you're looking for a quick stop over on route then it's a good location just off the M5

It's a car park so you know what you get. Quiet once pub is closed and no one about. Toilets accessible when pub is open.
