Empty CDP all good and clean before boarding ferry

  • 4/5

CDP fine but tap beside it has nothing to attach hose or fitment to, the hose can only be used to rinse toilet. We found another tap beside the mast and yellow grit bin opposite that was ok but you need a screw fitment

Few parking spaces, we didn't stay the night, but free CDP and water before catching the ferry, was just perfect. CDP is behind the wall to the left of the parking area. See photo that was kindly submitted by another user.

Schwarzwasserentlehrung und Frischwasser vorhanden. danke für die Bereitstellung!

Came in the evening and no space- Breedon and other work vans took all the spaces.

Kostenlos Wasser, Entsorgung von Grau und Schwarzwasser

many thanks Uist for providing this free CDP point and fresh water tap at the ferry terminal. The sign for the CDP had blown down, it was behind behind a small wall between the car park and building.

Not much to say it’s a car park at a ferry terminal. However there are good views, it’s quiet, and the toilets were open all night. If it’s a Friday you can grab fish and chips just up the street at Berneray Bistro.

This is a great spot, but has limited space. We could access free water, recycling bins, chemical disposal point and toilets, whilst the CalMac building was open. There are plugs available in the CalMac waiting room, too.

Parfait pour une nuit ! Les toilettes sont néanmoins fermées la nuit. Et le premier ferry part à 7h. Les autres spots de l’île ne sont pas clairs quant à la possibilité de stationner !

As mentioned before the fresh water taps have been cut so it’s not possible to connect a hose to fill up your tank. It is still possible to fill up any containers you may have. Found the CDP hidden behind a fence with a rather old sign pointing to its position however couldn’t find any sign of grey waste disposal point. So I’m giving it a 2 stars.

Für eine Übernachtung vor der Überfahrt völlig ok. Ruhig, WC Entsorgung möglich, Toiletten vorhanden.

Water taps have been cut off by Scottish Water to prevent anyone from attaching a hose because doing so could cause the water supply to be contaminated. Eg. Motorhomer attaches their hose to their black water tank when at the same time there is a loss of pressure in the water supply. Seriously!!!!

  • 2/5

Yes, you can dump black water. But apparently someone cut off the fresh water connector. You can’t attach any hose to it.

We missed the chemical toilet sign as it is literally on your right as you come out of the ferry. We turned round & came back & found it. There is a tiny sign (see picture) on a wall next to the building on your right & the chemical waste box is just behind the wall right out of sight. Apart from that it was easy to use & there was a hose there to clean afterwards

Good for services - much better places to stay on Berneray but eating for services. There’s chemical disposal free of charge, public toilets which are relatively clean and bins. Berneray is so small that this is a quick drive or walk from wherever you stay the night on the island

Fled our previous stopover in teeth of gale looking for shelter and this was best found. Huddled against wall but wind still rocked van all night and struggled to open door. Flat sloping tarmac. Usual ferry terminal good services BUT N.B. for some reason, both taps been sawn short so no hose connection. Can still fill container if don't mind getting wet.

CWD, Water & Toilet operational today. If you are arriving from Harris and do not have a campsite booked this will be your last chance to pitstop before lochboisdale ferry term. Campsite’s facilities over N & S Uist strictly bookings only (even with sweet talking and money). lochmaddy terminal facilities closed for pier works!
